Alan Dershowitz is one of those rare liberals who is both pro-Israel and pro-American. But he has a blind spot when it comes to his fellow leftists. He doesn't acknowledge they are wrong about both societies. How does The Dersh explain the contradiction between those who reject Judeo-Christian values and the Right's unstinting support of Israel? If he responds, we'd be interested in hearing his explanation.

Dershowitz is a typical leftist liberal. He supports a cause, such as Israel’s existence, and fights against fellow leftists but he refuses to acknowledge that they are not just anti-Israel, but anti-semitic, anti-western civilization and anti-American. They cannot be compromised with, but he thinks he can do that.

Therefore he gets hit in the head over this topic, writes a few columns, and then gets in line again to get hit in the head again by these same leftists when the same issue arises again.

He never learns. That is the sign of a fool.

Mr. Dershowitz see himself as an observant Jew but he makes his home with the most secular Leftists. He likely rationalizes that the Left and the Jews have a common enemy in Christianity. However, the Jews’ real and actual enemy is Islam. And the secular Left is more than willing to make common cause with Islam.

He is not only one of Israel’s staunchest supporters, he spends much of his time defending Israel. Dersh plays well in NYC and Palm Beach and perhaps Los Angelos, the rest of America he is little but an ethno bigot with a huge chip on his shoulder against “Jesusland” and its untermensh. His type has been seen before, they wore Cheka uniforms and killed “wreckers” and “counter-revolutionairies.” That is my observation of the man, if I am wrong I will admit it, but I would like to question him to see if my opinion is correct.

Dershowitz has said that the pro-Israel position is the "true radical position." Obviously to him Israel is nothing but a secular refuge and an outpost of western secularism, democracy, and socialism.

As has been pointed out, while other pro-Israel liberals (Koch, Lieberman) have supported Republicans, Dersh (so far as I know) maintains a 100% liberal Democrat record. I wonder if he still maintains that pro-Israel chr*stians are "pure evil?"
