Great point. I asked another friend: “what does the Commerce Secretary do anyway” He said: “I think they are in charge of corruption”. Thinking back, it was the right answer. Aren’t the Commerce Secretaries always the ones being indicted? Ron Brown, etc. So Richardson was perfect for the job, and was just doing what Obama needs someone to do!

I worked for an outfit overseas one time that shared space with the commerce department and I can tell you from first hand experience, the whole thing could be cut and it would be no loss to taxpayers.
