“Face it - it is left-wing cronyism, high taxes and a basic lack of respect for personal freedom and property that is destroying the economy of Greece.”
Of course I wouldn’t know, but I suspect that you haven’t a clue what you’re talking about. On the contrary, I do. Left wing cronyism in Greece is exceeded only by right-wing cronyism. Basic personal freedom in Greece far exceeds anything we know here in America and virtually no one pays ANY taxes, which, as a practical matter, are not high to begin with.
I read anything by Robert Kaplan with great interest and care.
“I kindly suggest you go start a business and hire some employees in Greece and get back to us. You have no idea what you are talking about.”
But I have (agriculture) and I do know exactly what I am talking about. And you, have you run a Greek business lately?
It appears that your definition of the term 'bloodsucker' is anyone who disagrees with you.

Oh no, not at all. But it is appropriate for a bunch who spin for internationalists under the guise of feigned Americanism.
Yeah, except their own. That's the problem. When it's one of theirs, they'll follow them right over the cliff. If it isn't one of theirs, they not only question, but throw them under the bus without bothering to think about new ideas. Of course, that ties in with the government-run school system the article mentions.
Technology has empowered the crowdor the mob if you will.

Over $75k is 40% to start...so you aren’t far off...lol
Pfffft. earlier today you posted: “how come there are so many people telling us we’re doomed?”
Now you’re predicting anarchy and loading your weapon. Make up your mind.
May I gently suggest you quit trying to get into my head and concentrate on your own?
I don't like the feeling of being stalked here.
The Greek police have run out of tear gas.
Wrap your head around that one.
Well, post stuff enough times, you gonna start believing it. ;-)
Stalked? LMAO. I posted in only a handful of threads today and you happened to post in a couple of them, too.
Your contradictory buffoonery was exposed- that isnt stalking.
Have they run out of bullets?
3 weeks of disorder goes beyond ‘rioting’ and into ‘civil insurection.’

Gosh but your the cyber-sleuth and i am undone.
When first world countries like Greece, France, England, and Germany have troubles that suggest civil disturbances or even war, we had best pay attention. Many of those people also live here. Their troubles are also the same troubles we have and are the canaries.
I wouldn’t call Greece a first world country. They’ve had unrest and had poverty for many a decade. Their problems are related to political tyranny, which only they alone can fix.
the euro? more like ill-assimilation of those of the islamic faith - the ones that started all this with molatov cocktails, an excuse to destroy their host country for showing kindness as is happening throughout europe jmo

Greece’s membership in the EU has, aside from its effect on Greek culture, been a good thing but the introduction of the euro has been a disaster. The implementation of a currency keyed to economies of places like Paris and Bonn and Vienna in what amounted to a quasi third world economy like Greece has caused all sorts of disruptions. Before the euro, the Greek laborer, the hamalis of today, could make it from day to day. Even in fancy places in Athens, a cup of coffee cost about $1.00 (or less). Within a week of the introduction of the euro, that same cup of coffee cost the equivalent of $2.50-$3.00 and gradually higher and higher as the euro drove prices in Athens towards prices in Paris. The laboring class can’t make it and the lower middle class is in the same boat.
As for the Mohammedans, well it was the conservative party which brought them in, starting with Albanians. The economic result there has been the same as bringing in serf labor from So. America here. Wages went down, crime went up and there has been social disruption. In the meantime the Eurocrats, Greek and otherwise, whine about the human rights of illegals and insist that they be accommodated. But I assure you those Mohammedans are NOT the cause of what has gone beyond rioting into what now appears to be a true insurrection. Its Greeks.
Nor have we, regrettably.
