Can anyone suggest a really good bed?
I tested several Duxiana and Sleep Numbers in the stores but you really can’t tell without an overnight.
I hate insomnia.

Simmons Beautyrest with the indivicually wrapped coils — firm or extra firm, try it out in a store. I’ve been using them for some time and found them really great.

I tried sleep number mattress, since they had them in some hotels I stayed in, I did not like them at all.

THE best beds I’ve slept in are in the better Hilton Hotels. Downtown Nashville, and S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago. Contact them and I think you may resolve your issues.

Well, if you find one, post it for all. I’ve been awake since 3am after 3 hours rest.

My wife and I bought a sleep number bed. It is far and away the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had. Pricey, but worth it IMHO.

Sleep number bed, absolutely wonderful and worth the money.

What we thought were just old age aches and pains diminished 90% when we started sleeping in it.

It’s really wonderful.

http://www.montereymattress.com/about/aboutarticlesmh.htm

About 10 years ago, that article led us to call this company for advice. The guy we talked with gave us a great formula for having a mattress making company nearby build a custom bed.

Basically, we have an inner spring mattress with a specific coil size, duty, and count, with a separate high density foam topper. Since the topper is what wears out first, it’s cheaper to replace the separate topper rather than the entire mattress.

Unfortunately, the local company went paws up several years ago, and since then we’ve been trying to find another mattress builder within driving distance so we can buy a replacement mattress. So far we’re coming up empty within 200 miles or so of NE Oklahoma.

You might try calling Monterey Mattress and asking them for advice. Or maybe they’re shipping out of state these days and could build one for you.
