CNN Meteorologist: Manmade Global Warming Theory 'Arrogant'

Unprecedented snow in Las Vegas has some scratching their heads – how can there be global warming with this unusual winter weather?

CNN Meteorologist Chad Myers had never bought into the notion that man can alter the climate and the Vegas snowstorm didn’t impact his opinion. Myers, an American Meteorological Society certified meteorologist, explained on CNN’s Dec. 18 “Lou Dobbs Tonight” that the whole idea is arrogant and mankind was in danger of dying from other natural events more so than global warming.

“You know, to think that we could affect weather all that much is pretty arrogant,” Myers said. “Mother Nature is so big, the world is so big, the oceans are so big – I think we’re going to die from a lack of fresh water or we’re going to die from ocean acidification before we die from global warming, for sure.”

Well, not everyone at CNN is drinking the Planet in Peril Kool-Aid. How much longer will he have a job?

it is arrogant.

doesn’t matter religious or not religious,

an individual’s or individuals influence on the planet is limited.

Water and food are already at shortage levels across the world and it is only going to get worse. What we should be doing is building nuclear plants and desalination plants. That would spur American industry and save us from more bad times.

Is Lou Dobbs just another media hack? The reason that I ask is that his radio program comes on 9:00 pm M-F. I try not to listen too carefully because Dobbs is connected with CNN. Besides, I wait for the program “When Radio Was” airs at 10 pm.

ocean acidification

That is really funny. The problem is that now 99% of his audience, (it is CNN after all,) will now think that acidification of the ocean is a real problem, and 99.9% think it is actually possible.

The problem as it relates to this issue is, you have a lot of loud mouthed children on the left, and a bunch of silent reasoned adults on the right.

It’s time for those who disagree with the global warming (and might I add the green hysteria as well), to start verbalizing it constantly in public.

We need to quit playing nice nice with utter fools.

Shouldn’t that read “former CNN Meteorologist”? I can’t imagine they wouldn’t fire him for the remarks.

Man can influence local climate change — black pavement in cities is an example that can raise overnight temperatures as cooling does not occur as fast due to surfaces having to release more absorbed heat. In desert areas, increased humidity due to watering lawns in recently developed areas can also keep temperatures from dropping overnight as heat is stored in the water vapor instead of being radiated to space.

There are very good reasons to prevent pollution, but preventing construction of fossil fuel plants because of carbon dioxide emissions and eliminating ruminants (i.e. cattle as PETA would have us do) to reduce methane flatulence will do nothing to help stop “global climate change” but will do a lot to lower our standard of living. Of course that is what the radical environut jobs want anyway.

Good to hear that CNN has not coopted all of its talent. According to Dr. Heidi though his cert should be pulled.

“I can’t imagine they wouldn’t fire him for the remarks.”

Yeah, only a smart media hack would dare think about putting Algore in his place on CNN, only if he has something on the CNN management that they don't want him to talk about.

Well yeah! We puny humans cannot change the climate, anyone with a conservative brain knows that! Silly libtards, global warming beliefs are for the severely stupid!

From Accuweather.com

All-time Record Snow Northwest-More to Come/Cal Totals

Its been an incredible 24 hours in the West with two big storms, one in the north and one in the south.

The Northwest snowstorm is still occurring but already snowfall records have fallen. Both Spokane and Coeur D’Alene set 24-hour records. As of 10 a.m. Spokane recorded 19.4 inches breaking the old record of 13 inches set in 1950. In Coeur D’Alene 25 inches of snow has fallen crushing the old record of 16 inches set in 1955. And amazingly its been snow steadily since this time. I have had a few readers tell me they have measured 30 inches around Spokane on flat ground.

California:
BIG BEAR CITY BALDWIN-22 INCHES
PINON HILLS –20 inches
LUCERNE VALLEY –18 inches
HESPERIA–18 inches
BIG BEAR LAKE –18 inches
LAKE ARROWHEAD–18 inches
CRESTLINE–18 inches
VICTORVILLE –11 inches
SOUTH CORONA-trace
PINE COVE-10 inches
PALOMAR MOUNTAIN–18 inches
JULIAN-14 inches
MT. LAGUNA-10 inches
WRIGHTWOOD-30 inches
LLANO-22 inches AT 3800 feet
PEARBLOSSOM-12 inches
NEENACH AT HWY 138-12 inches
PALMDALE-8 to 9 inches
MALIBU HILLS-1/2 inch AT 2000 feet

Arizona:
SNOWBOWL-30 inches
WILLIAMS-22 inches
FOREST LAKES-20 inches
FLAGSTAFF-18 inches
BELLEMONT-16 inches

And its going to get worse.

As Cold As It Gets in December

This is no ordinary storm for behind it follows some of the coldest air you will ever see in mid-December. A good example of how cold this air is that it comes from Key Lake, Saskatchewan. In that outpost, the temperature bottomed out at 53 degrees below zero this morning. This frigid, arctic air will impact the Northwest and northern Rockies beginning Friday then spread into the Great Plains over the weekend.
