I got to know Paul when he started National Empowerment Television and broadcast it via C-Band satellite. I visited their little studio and got to know quite a few of their people.

He was true to his beliefs and he fought the fight as well as anyone. We conservatives owe him a lot.

RIP, Paul. You will be missed.

And yes, this should be in breaking news.

Yup, I remember NET well. My old BUD dish was often pointing at the bird carrying NET. I called into his show once... I think it was called Direct Line with Paul Weyrich...but I could be mistaken. He seriously injured his back in an accident during that time. I remember that He was fond of trains :-)

A good man has passed into eternity.....

I think that was the first time I ever saw a picture of Rush Limbaugh - he, and, as I recall, maybe Weyrich, and possibly someone else, like Bill Bennett, had a little booth at the 1992 Democrat National Convention, and broadcast some commentary on the satellite.

There a lot he did for this nation few realize. He was also co-founder of the Moral Majority. Actually it was his idea. N.E.T. was great also. I loved watching it. Under Paul's leadership it was a TV network unseen before or sense. It was Weyrich who was early on warning us of the political sellout. Even back then he was doing it at the risk or expense of his health IIRC.
