Paul gave Tony Snow his start on his conservative channel before the days of Fox. It looks like we are going to be missing many team members.

Does anyone know the cause of death? I’ve been looking but so far I’ve found nothing.
RIP Paul!

Mr. Weyrich was only 66 yrs. old, and their is a column attributed to him dated December 17 commenting on the MN senate race.
This had to be sudden and unexpected.
Very sad loss for our country.

It appears that he was in declining health since his spinal injury.
In 1996, Weyrich was diagnosed with a spinal injury. From 2001 until his death in 2008, his injury left him in a wheelchair and in constant pain. Complications from a fall in September 2004 required the amputation of his legs in July 2005.

Mr. Weyrich was also a Protodeacon of the Melkite-Greek Catholic Church, and served in a parish in Fairfax County, VA.
Requiescat in pace.

A life well lived. I had the privilege of appearing on
Paul's radio show a year ago. Despite his health difficulties, he was sharp and interested, and he couldn't have been more courteous. Godspeed.

Thanks for posting those two clips.
I attended a seminar hosted by Paul and his Free Congress bunch in Memphis in 1982. He was a great speaker and used humor so well.

I got to know Paul when he started National Empowerment Television and broadcast it via C-Band satellite. I visited their little studio and got to know quite a few of their people. I think that was the first time I ever saw a picture of Rush Limbaugh - he, and, as I recall, maybe Weyrich, and possibly someone else, like Bill Bennett, had a little booth at the 1992 Democrat National Convention, and broadcast some commentary on the satellite.

Paul gave Tony Snow his start....... As well as Fox’s Major Garret, Kelley Anne Fitzpatrick and Frank Luntz.
Paul’s C-Band channel was an early refreashing light in the dark. He knew that the MSM was and would do everything in its vast power to make conservatives look as bad as possible without reagrd to the truth. I don’t think he was at all surprised by the 2008 stolen election. His insight will be missed.

“Then in 1992, Rush Limbaugh, Bill Bennett and I broadcast by satellite from the Democratic Convention in New York. We had a minimal crew, only half a dozen. Even though we had not been broadcasting regularly, we were inundated with telephone calls from all over America. The success of that broadcast was a determining factor in launching National Empowerment Television, or NET, a year and a half later.”
