“I will compete with any randomly chosen 100 or 1000 cops and I will finish in the top quarter on a bad day.”
Ditto...and, about a month ago I was out at my local shooting range and found out from one of the range masters that the day before a local PD LEO had shot himself through his left hand with his .40 Glock. —but remember, only the police are competent enough to have firearms. /duh
I cancelled my NG subscription last year because every damned issue was harping on global warming and I was sick of it. I guess if they want to now become a political organization I suppose they’re welcome to do so but they should lose their tax exempt status for doing so.
But they need to stick to nature and stuff, just like Discover Channel used to stick with what they used to do. Now they're all about reality shows and crap.
I watched this last Saturday. Funny thing was, I was at the firing range in VA they featured earlier that day.
My MIL bought us a subscription for the next 100 years. Every month I bring it in and dump it in the trash unopened.
LOL
The Brits call them "hot burglaries" and if you defend yourself in the course of one of these attacks you'll be subject to worse penalties than the vermin attacking you. I have no idea why the Brits tolerate this damnable idiocy.
Yep. Then they started in with color pictures...
All right ... we'll start with you. Hand it over, jackass ... and your badge, too. You're not fit even to serve as a garbage collector.
You’re a little late. National Geographic spent the entire nineteen-nineties fellating Al Gore, trumpeting Global Warming and calling him a scientific genius.
It was around then that I stopped reading it.
The phrase “politicians-in-uniform” is generally used when the subject of gun-grabbing police chiefs comes up.
Please don’t insult the Ituri with such associations. They always struck me as decent folks.
Discovery Channel? I thought it was now the morbidly obese channel.
According to the program, there are millions of misguided gun owners across the nation. Why? Because your guns are supposedly more likely to harm you than to help you in an emergency.Clearly, the armed forces should disarm.
The Philly cop who is quoted is a young guy, only a couple of years (maybe) on the force. He was shot in the face with a shotgun by a gangbanger and has only recently returned to patrol duty and is very scarred for life.
So, while I vehemently disagree with his notion of "limiting access" to guns, I can at least comprehend where his personal misguided viewpoint comes from.
FYI, they also showed a mother whose home had been broken into who went through all the legal steps to procure a handgun. I think, for the most part, they portrayed her fairly. They did not deal with the actual intent of the 2A (protection from gov't) and most assuredly, the overall tenor was that of being anti-gun.
After my anger subsides from reading this I wonder, why don't these people just move to N Korea. THey obviously hate our Founding Fathers and everything America was founded upon.
These libtards can't possibly think that we can bring about an even “better” Utopia than lil’ kim. So go to your dream-land and leave America to Americans.
Happy New Year!
“I read a post on another message board that the Fraternal Order of Police Chiefs overwhelmingly voted for little o. Is this true?”
The Police CHIEFS did, because they are political animals looking for more taxpayer largesse. The rank-and-file — from what I have heard — did not vote for Oumbo.
“Thus has spoken every tyrant, nazi, despot or dictator since the gun was invented.”
Gun-control has always been advocated by the elite in a society because they perpetually fear the great unwashed rising up and kicking their sorry asses.
>>Click on the link to the article and send an email to National Geographic telling them to stick with nature subjects and steer away from politics.
They’re at least a decade past that. I dropped my two decades+ subscription about 10 years ago, due to all the Lefty politics that started appearing in their articles.
