Will 'feditis' spread to Obama and Daley?
Chicago Tribune ^ | 12-14-08 | John Kass

Posted on 12/13/2008 3:18:00 PM PST by STARWISE

Why are Chicago machine Democrats lining up against Gov. Rod "Dead Meat" Blagojevich like a bunch of thin-lipped Victorian physicians in some old movie set in an musty insane asylum?

Since Tuesday, they've been swinging their silver hammers at his cranium with righteous gusto. They're eager to give him a political lobotomy.

Why? That's easy.

Gov. Dead Meat is infected, not with some mental disorder, but with something far worse. He's got a raging case of feditis. They don't know if it's the isolated feditis or the creeping kind, threatening not only the locals but the reform image of their guy about to assume the White House.

But that same day, I diagnosed Blagojevich as quite sane, because all he did was act like just another corrupt Chicago politician. He squeezed people. That's how things are done in the city that is not Camelot.

Buh bye, Olympics.

From Billyboy..Illinois FReeper:

The way little Lisa Madigan has piously sought to portray herself as a corruption fighter for the people during this whole debacle makes me sick. Lisa Madigan is JUST as corrupt as Blago, she just hasn’t been caught with her hand in the cookie jar yet! She looked the other way for YEARS while Chicago machine corruption ran rampant, but NOW that Blago’s been caught with the smoking gun, she demands his ouster immediately, so we can go back to “business as usual” — due process be damned.
The Chicago machine wants Blago out of the way ASAP now that he’s damaged goods. The need to have Crook County corruption swept under the rug and that’s not possible as long as he’s the face of the IL RATs.

Lisa Madigan is trying to bypass the legal procedures for removing a governor and invoke an obscure clause used in emergencies to remove elected officials who suffer from illness. If we allow this to go forward and let the A.G. and four judges remove a Governor on a whim, it will set a dangerous precedent for future governors. Basically, five people (A.G. + 4 judges) in a closed door meeting would be able to remove whoever they wanted for whatever reason! Little Lisa says we can’t wait for impeachment. Of course this all could have been prevented if we VOTERS had the power of RECALL like 35 other states, but oh yeah, the Chicago machine fought tooth and nail AGAINST giving voters that power when it was brought up in the last election cycle, remember Lisa? Looks like you reap what you sow.

I urge everyone to call the A.G.’s office and the IL SC on Monday, and give them hell about this. You want to remove the Governor, do it thur the proper process!! Let’s have an open, public, impeachment trial and make the case that Blago is unfit to serve.

NO BACKROOM DEALS!!!

A great article.

I wonder how long it will be before John Kass is found at the bottom of the Chicago River with his legs wrapped in chains and his fingers missing?

I'm thinking Blago should look Urlacher up again. He might be needing his "services" soon.

BTW, check out the guy in the background.

Rezkobama is sweating blood right now. Why are the obamedia declaring him innocent when they have no idea. Must have missed that declaration for Bush. Kas however is the most honest reporter out there.

Pray for W and Our Troops

Would love it if Blago decided to sing like a canary, and wouldn't that get Hussein's administration off to a wonderful start.

We need to get ready for a scandal a week (or worse) when the rats get in charge the cheese factory.

Where were these reporters before the election? Does all this come as a shock to the Chicago Tribune?

I don’t care how many pictures I see of Obama. There is something not quite right in the eyes. A studied look of feigned sincerity, if you will. A look that says, “I don’t want to be here.” Something not genuine. I saw it all throughout the campaign, and it continues now.

There’s just something fake in his demeanor, which tells me he’s a fraud from the inside, to the outside, and is hiding things.

Kass has been a Trib columnist for years. He’s told the truth about Chicago politics, and Obama, all along.

What really has me concerned about all this talk about Blago being crazy as a bedbug, and then basically trying to declare him insane without due process is how much it reminds me of how the former soviets used to declare ordinary citizens insane and then lock them up in assylums. They were basically political prisoners. If it can be done to Blago, it can eventually be done to all of us. It is a terrible thing to take away due process of the Law.

If Blagojevich was selling Obama’s Senate seat for a million how much did he charge for his seat in the House of Representatives to candidate Rahm Emmanuel?

IMHO , the only reason they are trying to give Blogo the East River treatment is because he DARED to tarnish the reputation of the chosen one.
