A stone’s throw away from the White House, more than 50 members of the press and curious onlookers alike crowded the intimate Edward R. Murrow Room at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. this afternoon to hear arguments why Barack Obama is constitutionally ineligible to serve as president of the United States.
The press conference was sponsored by Robert Schulz and his We The People Foundation, both of which just this last week ran an open letter to the former Illinois senator in his hometown Chicago Tribune, appealing to Obama to present for review any and all documentation which will prove his qualification to serve as president pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution. Also attending the press conference: Philip Berg, a Pennsylvania attorney who, in August, filed the first lawsuit questioning Obama’s constitutional eligibility; Orly Taitz, a Chechnyan immigrant turned southern California dentist and lawyer who has filed a pair of suits in the Golden State, one of which was on behalf of Ambassador and former GOP presidential candidate Alan Keyes, who ran as the Independent Party’s candidate for president in this past election.; and Rev. James David Manning, chief pastor at the Harlem-based ATLAH World Missionary Church....... Schulz stated that “as supreme law of the land, the Constitution is all that stands between freedom and tyranny.” He noted that “the Constitution is not a menu” and that we “do not get to pick and choose” which provisions and guidelines to follow, maintaining that the Natural Born Citizen clause was designed by our founders to “safeguard our nation from outside influence.”

This strikes me as an extremely stupid statement. What are these "world leaders" going to say that has not already been said here at FR and many other places? Why would the people who do not care now about whether Obama is Constitutionally qualified care in the future because some "world leader" they are only barely aware exists states that such is the case?

Hate to be picky but as Phillip Berg himself writes:

Except that is correct. So far Obama’s been able to say “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain” and the press and citizens have ignored this. People who want citizenship proof are labeled bitter nuts. What if more Americans were given info? Do you think Obama would risk it?
Because if another ‘world leader’ (like Putin or some other) shows proof of an Obama cover-up on his BC, the CORRUPT American Press will have to cover it and even more Americans will start to doubt ‘The Messiah’. That’s why he is vulnerable if this stuff is true. Don’t forget that Obama plans on ruling America for at least two terms.

We lost that argument decades ago. It is just another political appointment, the public has accepted that. File this lawsuit effort under DOA.

Obama’s past involvement overseas and his life even here in the U.S. has been wiped clean and there is little known about it. He has had though a lot of foreign influence and connections throughout his life. There is still a lot that is not known about him by the average American but surely there are aspects of his life that are known to foreigners that we do not know. I do not see how it is an incredibly stupid statement to think that he could be blackmailed by foreign sources.
It doesn’t matter if you believe the US constitution doesn’t matter.
A foreign agent who had access to information that the US president is illegitimate could do a lot of damage.

Rev. Manning is an excellent example of straight talk and moral courage, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s black, either. Some who aren’t used to his brand of hard preaching find him hard to take, like when he calls Obama’s mama “trash.” But I think the good outweighs the bad. He seems to be a man who can be trusted to speak truth to power.
It seems pretty simple. If any world leader has proof that 0bama is NOT a natural born citizen, that world leader can blackmail him into doing great harm to the United States of America.
No you weren't. You were trying to throw mud and see what sticks. It has no bearing on where Obama was born and why he won't relesease any records, college or birth.

And a couple of years from now when this has gone nowhere and it is announced that the US will NOT be deploying a missle shield after all in Eastern Europe, we will know that Putin has the real birth certificate from Mombassa.
IMO, this is a dead issue. The SC has refused to explore it, it never came up in either the Dem primaries or the GOP tilt, besides his mother is a bonafide American citizen. 0bama won the election mainly because of Bush’s record of the last 8 years...so we lost and it’s time to move on. Believe me, there’ll be much better issues ahead to examine 0bama’s fitness to serve.

Again, it has nothing to do with the 15 to 17 cases about presidential qualifications. You and others throw it out there to try and muddy the water. Debate the facts of the current cases.

Exactly. The sign of a weak defense is the defendant ignoring the facts and law, and abusing the plaintiff or “poisoning the well.”
The larger questions is: why are some here defending Obama? If they think this is a waste of time, well, then go over to chat or just stay the hell off these threads.
Duh! Maybe the sheeple might take notice of PROOF published in foreign newspapers all over the world, something our compliant press could not pretend doesn't exist, if the President refused to be blackmailed by some foreign gov't like the Chinese or the Russians. (Although I seriously doubt that our President would need to be blackmailed to do their bidding since the past couple of Presidents don't seem to have needed anything more than a bribe!)
On one had the liberals claim that "the people" are responsible for vetting the candidates for president and on the other they point to Berg's case to say the he has no standing. Isn't Berg one of "the people" and doesn't HE have a right to see for himself if Obama is qualified?
I think some just like to argue. And some think the 9/11 statement is clever. And some are trolls.
Where did you get that? He's a practicing attorney in PA and formerly held a position in the Attorney General's office that required a law degree.

Russian Newspapers are reporting Obama illegibility and they are not even referring to him as Barack H. Obama. They call him Barry Sotoro. Last night on Plains Radio, a caller called from Australia. Obviously this is not just America’s dirty little secret.

So what? This isn't a political issue. It's a legal issue.
If it were determined by law that Obama is not a natural-born citizen, The Supreme Court would rule 9-0 that he's ineligible to serve as President.
As such, if he's not natural-born, he can be blackmailed.
