It's all those EVIL Corporate Manager's fault! (TRANSLATION-Bush's Fault)
Maybe she was just a bad employee.
It’s not that their product sucks and nobody wants it.
...like most of the assp*ckers on Kos, I believe less than half of what she says...
A liberal media outlet run by capitalists?! Well, the audacity! Did she ever think that the reason she (and her husband and other coworkers) lost gainful employment is because they make a product no one wants because it drips with the same condescending liberal crap that drips from her screed?!?!
LMBO!!!
The question is, did management go through the parking lot and ascertain which cars had Obama stickers on them before making their decisions on who to cut?
Do people really do dialysis 3x a day? I’m not saying they don’t, but my cousin, when he got kidney failure from diabetes, did it 2-3x a week. That is my only standard of comparison.
This woman sounds as though unable to help herself.
HELLO!!
You too can find another job - millions do it all the time. I know it is difficult in a time of recession but be creative; if you’re a wordsmith working as a reporter, well now it the time to write those stories you’ve always daydreamed about. Sell them and make some money. But most of all - keep looking for a job.
If you’re really smart and see it coming (this person had plenty of warning!) go find another job before being laidoff.
But don’t act helpless. That’s just plain dumb!
Those words sort of leaped out at me because it means that she and her husband work for the MSM. Also, isn't dialysis done 3 times a week instead of 3 times a day? And I've never heard of dialysis being done at home instead of a clinic or hospital.
If it were an economic layoff, the company doesn’t “fight,” unless it makes up facts to charge her with a disqualifying reason such as absenteeism or what-not. She’s lying about either the reason she was let go or that the company contested her claim.
The company must report why the termination was made and in every state, business conditions cannot cause the state to deny.
Liar but who is surprised?
“....My situation, I am sure, is not unlike so many in this country today. My own story though, is that I have a chronically ill husband, who lost his job in February at the same firm. He, at the time, I think was let go because of his illness, although these heinous people tried to make it seem otherwise.
As if that was not enough for them, when we filed for unemployment, they tried to block us every step of the way, by contesting it. We won in the end. The managers at this firm are some of the coldest people I have ever encountered in my entire life of working....”
I was employed by a privately owned hospital in the late 80s. We had an exceptional staff, outstanding physicians and great morale. We were a small outfit, yet provided excellent care to the community.
Then it changed hands and the new owners sent in a 26 y/o whiz kid with an MBA. He slashed staffing to dangerous levels; one RN for 30 patients. He alienated the physicians, but met his corporate goals and got his bonus. Within a year, 85% of the experienced staff moved on.
I took two part time jobs to make up for a 60% cut in hours then was counseled for not being ‘loyal’ because I wasn’t available for work when they called on my days off.
No comparison to a news organization, but the corporate mentality she describes is real. I’ve been there.
“heinous people”
“coldest people”
“cesspool”
“eat at the core of decent people”
“evil,vile,and horrid”
Boy, that about sums up everything we can say about the Dems and their friends.
Those who complain of capitalism have never seen a communist society up close and personal.
And look at all the thriving communes in the US!
What does she have to worry about, I thought the great and wonderful O was going to pay for everything.
Her husband’s a reporter, so I take it they work for a newspaper or a TV station. That would mean her managers are liberal (oops... progressive) sorts of folks.
Actually, it may well be.
Large corporations have moved to the 'Rat side of the aisle.
Many of the mega-corps support Obama.
It's small and medium-sized businesses who are more conservative.
If what she says about her husband’s treatment is true, they have one heck of a lawsuit under the American’s with Disabilities Act. I doubt a newspaper would be so stupid.
I'm sorry her husband has diabetes though.
