171 uncounted ballots turn up; gain for Franken
Star Tribune ^

The final day of recounting in Ramsey County in the U.S. Senate race kicked up controversy today when 171 uncounted ballots from Maplewood turned up. The ballots apparently had been uncounted because of a ballot-counting-machine malfunction on Election Day.

Democrat Al Franken made a net gain of 37 votes from the ballots, as he got 91 of the total, to 54 for Republican Sen. Norm Coleman and 26 for other candidates, including Dean Barkley of the Independence Party.

Once those were counted, election officials found that there appeared to be 31 more ballots cast than the number of voters who signed in or voted by absentee ballot at Maplewood's Sixth Precinct, at the Hazelwood Fire Station.

This is why ACORN likes to register fake people. You neer know when you might need an official ballot, or 100, to turn up.

Interesting how most of the messed-up ballots were for Franken. Is voting too complicated for his supporters?

Franken’s only chance is to petition the United States Senate to overturn the will of the people. If they are willing to do that, I hope there are repercussions.

Hmmm....37 more votes for Franken, 31 redundant votes.

Nah, it's nothing.

This is shameful. They are either lunatics, or crooked as a dog's leg.

there appeared to be 31 more ballots cast than the number of voters who signed in or voted by absentee ballot

OK, I vote "lunatics" "and" "crooked as a dog's leg". I guess its not necessarily "either-or".

"Elections" in this country are a joke. Our votes mean nothing. It's the vote COUNTERS who determine the winners.

Net gain of 37 for Franken. It’s over. Coleman wins.

“Once those were counted, election officials found that there appeared to be 31 more ballots cast than the number of voters who signed in or voted by absentee ballot....”

A spokesperson from the Franken campaign spoke briefly and said “While no process is 100% without error, we are so glad that all the votes have been counted, and that we can now move forward with Senator Franken’s plans. Now if you’ll please excuse me I have to make sure my car’s trunk is closed.”

Actually, he’s trying to have the disqualified absentee ballots introduced, being as they weren’t disqualified for voter error but rather clerical errors. That’s where the US Senate comes in.

After all this time, and they are still finding MORE ballots. At least they are now fabricating Coleman votes to at least provide the veneer of plausibility.

I wonder if anyone has bothered to read the sentence after your excerpt:
Once those were counted, election officials found that there appeared to be 31 more ballots cast than the number of voters who signed in or voted by absentee ballot at Maplewood's Sixth Precinct, at the Hazelwood Fire Station. Shortly after, they said the explanation was that registration cards accompanying absentee ballots hadn't been recorded, as they should have been; when they were recorded, the number of voters and ballots matched.
It's still unclear who will come out ahead in this (it's that close). But I see the tinfoil hat crowd is out in force predictive evil Illuminati influence should Franken come out ahead.

Why isn't a grand jury somewhere looking into possible indictments for election fraud?

I call BULLSHIT! When is the military/militia/people going to step in and say “F-ck you, corrupt Government! We’re not putting up with any more!”? WHEN?

I would be saying this regardless of the party doing it; that it is happening at all is unjust and invalidates EVERYBODY’S vote!
