Also explains his anti-birth certificate stance, and his immigration stance...

Good. Save us the trouble and money of ousting him in the primary.

Because his approval rating is in the toilet and we have too many high profile R’s in the state who can actually win in the seat. He was destined to be kicked to the curb, so he did the smart thing and went there on his own.

Good. Now let’s get some Democrats to retire.

(Okay okay, you’ll say that he’s basically a Dem anyway, but I’m talking about those who actually have the courage to sport the (D) after their names.)

Fox,

Maybe Lt. Col. West could begin a campaign now! and have the money, plus he wouldn’t be running against an incumbent. Just a thought.

On the Republican side, there may well be a push to recruit former Gov. Jeb Bush into the contest although that seems like a long shot. State Attorney General Bill McCollum will almost certainly be mentioned as will state Senate President Jeff Atwater and former state House speaker Marco Rubio. Reps. Vern Buchanan and Connie Mack also may consider a run.

EVEN BETTER NEWS: HE MAY QUIT EARLY....

from the link below:

According to the St. Petersburg Times, the Republican source said Martinez is not only out, but also hinted he may leave his seat early in advance of the end of his term.

He probably just couldn’t be bothered in running an uphill battle.

The most interesting question is whether Jeb Bush will run.

If he completely disassociates himself from George W. Bush, he has a chance.

Now that Florida is a “Blue” state, what are the chances the GOP can hang on to his seat?

Yes there is a God. I loathe Martinez. The only thing worse is that goofy hayseed Lib Dem Bill Nelson.

Jeb, McCollum, Mack or Buchannan might be good. Rubio is a smart young guy too. Is he open borders like that piece of crap and pro-illegal alien POTUS Mel?

The RNC RINO’s screwed McCollum over to give the shot to Mel.
