If the holder of the most powerful office in the world proposed a policy guaranteed to inflict untold damage on his own country and many others, on the basis of claims so demonstrably fallacious that they amount to a string of self-deluding lies, we might well be concerned. The relevance of this is not to President Bush, as some might imagine, but to a recent policy statement by President-elect Obama.

They will see a video of Mr Obama, in only his second major policy commitment, pledging that America is now about to play the leading role in the fight to "save the planet" from global warming.
Mr Obama begins by saying that "the science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear". "Sea levels," he claims, "are rising, coastlines are shrinking, we've seen record drought, spreading famine and storms that are growing stronger with each passing hurricane season." Far from the science being "beyond dispute", we can only deduce from this that Mr Obama has believed all he was told by Al Gore's wondrously batty film An Inconvenient Truth without bothering to check the facts. Each of these four statements is so wildly at odds with the truth that on this score alone we should be seriously worried. It is true that average sea levels are modestly rising, but no faster than they have been doing for three centuries. Gore was on Oprah friday. You should have seen the clueless audience terrified about the huge floods, after he scared the daylights out of them. Oprah and Gore will not give up their carbon neutral jets.

This past weekend I a gave a speech at the Dallas Science Museum on "Space the Next 50 Years!"
I proposed that a tax credit of $1.25 for every $1.00 spent on the Men, Money, and Material used to Exploit Space. Mine the Moon, build the Space Colony/Factories and build solar power generating stations which would generate ALL the electricity needed on Earth!
The major constituents of lunar regolith is silicon, aluminum, iron, titanim, chromium and oxygen and helium3.
Get all the countrys of the world to pitch in and we can avoid wars, feed everyone and move all heavy industry off planet which would have a green effect for real.

As for myself, I need to re-read Animal Farm. Last time I read it, I was in fifth grade.
That was a loooonnnnggggg time ago, when CA public schools were very good. Most of my fellow sixth graders were reading at 12th grade level. One of our reading projects was The Count of Monte Cristo.
Any law Obama passes will be void. Any treaty he signs, any appointment he make etc etc.

Any criminal defendant charged in a law Obama signed will be able to demand a copy of O’s birth certfificate. They will have a team of forensic document people. When he is found to be a fraud - all hell will break loose. Any law, treaty, appointment, agreement or anything will be null and void.
The first law he signs - there will be a line of people standing there to break it and they will have cops standing there to arrest them.
Dumb enough to elect this clymer to go with the RAT House and Senate. We'll escape a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate by a hair, though there are enough RINOs who will join with the RATS to screw us on a lot of things anyway, and, of course, Juan McCain who can't wait to reach around the aisle.
I think people really need to give up on this fantasy and start preparing how they’re going to take back the reins in the next election cycles.
