Nothing says Hope and Change like the return of the Clintons to Washington, does it? Apparently, if you really want change, we need to go beyond appointing Hillary to run the State Department we need to give Bill an official job as well.
Karl Meyer and Shareen Blair Brysac make their argument that New York Governor David Paterson should appoint Bill as Hillarys replacement without bothering to mention the little detail of Bill serving in same body that debated whether to convict him after his impeachment :

BS...Bill’s making millions with just the occasional lecture....AND it’s a demotion from POTUS...
I’m tired of writers trying to stir the pot.
I think it’s more likely that Hillary would be replaced by a Kennedy- perhaps RFK Jr. JFK Jr. would be a shoe-in if it weren’t for that unfortunate plane crash.

“I think its more likely that Hillary would be replaced by a Kennedy- perhaps RFK Jr. JFK Jr. would be a shoe-in if it werent for that unfortunate plane crash”
Yep...that’s probably the deal Caroline cut...full speed ahead for the Kennedy legacy....Teddy had it a little tattered....
JFK Jr. might have become the senator in 2001 if not for the plane crash...Hillary might have had to pick another state to be the carpetbagger senator from.
Bill will never be the junior senator from NY behind Chuck-you Schumer.
Uh, Bill can’t serve in the Senate or House of Reps. or in any other offical capacity that would put him in the line of succession.
Section 1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.
Section 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
Section 3. Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.
Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.
Amendment XXII
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.
Actually, he could. Here is the order of succsion -

Secretary of the Treasury
Secretary of Defense
Attorney General
Secretary of the Interior
Secretary of Agriculture
Secretary of Commerce

Secretary of Health and Human Services
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
Secretary of Transportation
Secretary of Energy
Secretary of Education
Secretary of Veterans Affairs
Secretary of Homeland Security
I don't see how you come to that conclusion from the link you posted.
Besides, succession goes from POTUS to VP, then Speaker of the House, then Pres pro tempore of Senate, then down through all the cabinet secretaries, starting with SoS and ending with the secretary of DHS. Other than the President pro tempore, Senators are WAY down the list.
It won’t happen. Chuck U Schumer is calling the shots. For years he has been in Hillary’s shadow even though he has been the senior senator. He’ll pick a non-descript person who will be his go-fer.
Bill will be too busy running the 0 administration.
Hopefully, it never happens, but I have to say, it would certainly frustrate Zero's attempts to be the top dog in DC.
I don’t think that would make Andrew Cuomo very happy.
Its true he does not need this demotion but if he did it would be great because he would vote to impeach zero and make himself look better by comparison!
