Suppose you were sitting in church one Sunday peacefully minding your own business, praying that God grant our new president the wisdom to do what is right when suddenly, the sanctity of the church is violated in the most horrific way by vandals, thugs, and screaming lunatics.
This is what happened at a small church in Lansing, MI called Mount Hope. From the blog Right Michigan:

They also teach respect for all human life and the Biblical sanctity of marriage as an institution between one man and one woman.
What followed is like something out of the annals of Solzhenitsyn or some other account of bigotry directed against religion:

I am not surprised. I totally expect to be persecuted if I speak out against Obama or believe in God. This is happening BEFORE he gets into office . . . how will it be when he is actually sitting on the throne??

According to their website (http://www.mounthopechurch.org/pages/page.asp?page_id=701) they have a Sunday webcast. Last week’s — the sermon interrupted by these freaks — isn’t posted yet.
This story will only give more of these idiots ideas. It would’ve been difficult for me to sit there and take it but these folks were able to contain themselves. Luckily for them.

We go to a large church, I guess some would call it a mega church, but one positive thing is we do have a security presence at every entrance, and seated among the congregation. If some group had tried something like this, they would have been whisked out of the auditorium before they made it half way to the platform, and then held for the police.
Note the comment on the attempt by the moonbats to provoke a violent reaction by committing violence themselves.
This tactic reflects the implicit assumption that media coverage will spin any way necessary to blame the actual victims and portray the lefty terrorists themselves as victims (and they are terrorists).
The press was complicit in this and tried to hide the fact they did not know what was going to happen. GARBAGE. They knew these folks were up to no good and were trying to start a fight. Their presence was tantamont to encouraging these cowards and thugs to start a fight that they could then use as evidence that the right is intolerant. This newspaper should be innundated with complaints - and yes, threats to boycott their sponsors as well.

Here’s the thing. Peacefully let them do their demonstration. When you finally get tired of turning the other cheek, silently recriminate later. ‘Nuff said.
Are these alleged assailants not subject to criminal prosecution?
The convictions might come quite easily as they foolishly documented their own (in my opinion reprehensible) actions.
And in the Soviet Union. The use of thuggery to keep the populace cowed and afraid to speak out against the government is one of their main tactics.
