My son loves him, and we go back and forth about it, kind of like with our Freeper cousins here.

Bush wanted a new tone and gave it to the Dems, who tore him a new one. He didn't believe in our movement, and has left the party a wreckage not seen since Herbert Hoover. The losses the last two cycles have been the result of people's dissatisfaction with him.

No one knows if Bush’s low approval ratings are deserved or not. You have to let his policies play out. Iraq will play out before our eyes obviously and we have to really figure out how much his policies caused the current financial melt-down. this takes detached non-partisan analysis. In 20 years, we’ll have our answer. Remember, we are thoughful intelligent people on this cite. Don’t get caught up in the emotional mood of the moment.

i agree. he and cheney seem to feel that responding to criticism
is beneath them. there was noone other than tony snow (rip)
who showed any ability to deal with press. that is part of the
job. you must help control the narrative with the public!

Well, I personally like George Bush, but there are reasons to be dissatisfied. I am curious as to why you think it is deserved. Could you expand on your reasoning as to why you think so?

Thanks for your posting. I appreciate a thoughtful discourse - while I appreciate this site, many opinions here are based on pure emotion as opposed to thoughtful discernment. I'm not criticizing anyone, I fall prey to that type of opinion making myself.
