Getting? That ship sailed a year ago and arrived at its destination not long after that. If only ‘The Isle of Creepy” was the only port that warranted concern.. Of course they are all part of Socialism Island and the volcano there is the one that spewed forth all the rest. Where is a good-sized iceberg when you need one?
Think about it; Clinton got a ‘pass’ on using the FBI to gather intelligence on his enemies, using the IRS to punish his critics, mysterious violent deaths IN the White House, and even missing and re-appearing evidence in criminal investigations. Obama threatened criminal prosecutions against WGN in Chicago for unflattering news about Bill Ayers during the Democrat Convention and exiled reporters from his campaign for not overtly supporting him. The MSM has so much as promised him a vitrtual dictatorship, atleast a willingness to turn a blind eye. ‘Ruling’ is precisely his intention. Get used to it.

This wasn’t “The Media”. This was the co-chair of his transition team. How do you spin that?
The MSM is getting the word out. Obama is ready to RULE. The press can let Valerie say all she wants; it'll help anger people. What was all that media hype about the Palin rallies stirring up hate and promoting violence against the O? The media is projecting.
It's no stretch of the imagination to say that the msm is ruthless and without conscience, and that's it'll do anything for ratings. There's one story that would be the mother of all news stories - generating the mother of all revenue - and I suspect they want it. Badly.

There’s too many in the media that worship him that necessarily want to see something “happen” to him. Sure, they’re amoral and want ratings, but they wouldn’t want to suffer the indignity of being disinvited from the cocktail party circuit if they were faulted for “fanning” something...
I’m not sure, either, about the Dukes analogy. I mean, who would Louis Winthorpe had been ? Dubya ? They hated him from the start. McCain ? Perhaps. But they had no intention of letting him have anything but the nomination. And a nomination and no Presidency is worthless. Even Louis had power for awhile... Obama as Billy Ray Valentine doesn’t quite work, either. Billy Ray was effectively plucked from the street as a known petty criminal. The False Messiah has been plotting his rise for quite some time and has had dangerous elements grooming him practically from childhood. I think it’s way far sinister than we realize. He’s more like Rosemary’s Baby... or Damien.
I’m not in the mood to be RULED over.
I don’t think the term fits in this country. And never has.
Jarrett, as you both may already know, is our dictator-select’s apparent preference to succeed him as Senator. Whether Gov. Blago goes along with the plan is something else entirely. Personally, I hope he gives him the finger... but then the dictator might tell Blago if he does this favor, he might make any investigations “disappear.” If he doesn’t... well, Fitzgerald will find something on him. Yessirree, politics Chicago style.
