(IsraelNN.com) According to a report on Middle East Newsline, President-elect Barack Obama has dispatched his "senior foreign policy adviser", Robert Malley to Egypt and Syria to outline Obama's policy on the Middle East.
Malley reportedly relayed a promise from Obama that the United States would seek to enhance relations with Cairo and reconcile differences with Damascus.
"The tenor of the messages was that the Obama administration would take into greater account Egyptian and Syrian interests," an aide to Malley was quoted as saying. The aide said Obama plans to launch a U.S. diplomatic initiative toward Syria. Malley met both Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad "to explain Obama's agenda for the Middle East."
F-16s for Egypt Aides to Malley also said that Obama told Mubarak that the United States would maintain military and civilian aid and sell advanced F-16 aircraft to Cairo. Egypt has not ordered F-16s in nearly a decade.
Malley was an advisor to President Bill Clinton and played an active role in the Camp David summit with Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat. He later published an article in which he laid some of the blame for the failure of those talks on Israel's doorstep.
International Crisis Group In May 2008, Malley said in an interview that he had been in regular contact with Hamas, as part of his work for a conflict resolution think-tank called the International Crisis Group. This aroused ire and concern in pro-Israel circles, and prompted a spokesman for Obama to say that Rob Malley has, like hundreds of other experts, provided informal advice to the campaign in the past. He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future.
One of the sponsors of the International Crisis Group is billionaire George Soros, who sits on its board and its executive committee. Other members of the board include former United States National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and former general Wesley Clark, who called US support for Israel during the Second Lebanon War a "serious mistake" and said that "New York money people" were pushing the United States towards a confrontation with Iran.
Come January 15th we’ll have his 57 states starting with Syria.

Well, he has such resounding support from the Jewish community here in the US.
Sorry folks, no do-overs. You should have done it right the first time.
Maybe the ‘we told you so’ will be starting earlier than we thought.
Logan Act may apply?
And so it begins . . .
President-elect Obama has probably already repealed the Logan Act. It's obsolete now.
Is this even legal, let alone appropriate?
Strange and interesting things happen when one starts messing with God's people and His land and attempting to thwart His plans.
I really hope and pray that we are not collateral damage. I cannot hope and pray enough that God just strikes down the perps...and lets the innocent go free.
I've long said that if Obambi wins, that we'd have to lose at least a portion of a major American city for the population to regain their senses. They'd immediately reflect on the fact that no enemy of the US was able to make another attempt during the time Bush was in charge.
And they'd probably reflect on the fact that it wouldn't have been likely under McCain-Palin, either.
This is absolutely unprecedented.....at least in my memory. What the hell? We have TWO Presidents now? The arrogance is sickening but gives us some insight to how this evil bastard is going to “Rule”.
Is’nt Malley somewhat anti-semetic?
Is’nt Malley somewhat anti-semetic?
I saw this first hand as I was a poll observer in a heavy democrat area of town. I have never seen more ignorant fools in one location in my life. People who obviously were voting for one reason and one reason only walking out of the polls saying “free stuff!” All I could do was stare in disbelievement that I had a front row seat to the end of America.
Well, he has such resounding support from the Jewish community here in the US.
Isn’t that mind boggling? But when the votes came in from Israel, the ratio for McCain was the same as the one from the US or close to it. Those with voting rights in the US voted 75-80% in favor of McCain while the American Jewish Community voted about that for Obama.
Were the ignorant fools at the polling legally eligible to vote? Were they voting at multiple places, maybe in multiple states? What kinds of fraud did you observe?
Another violation of the Logan Act by the lawless ‘Rats!
Yes, the Logan Act does apply!
Not that anything applies to 0.
That was fast:
Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Mr Obama, responded swiftly: Rob Malley has, like hundreds of other experts, provided informal advice to the campaign in the past. He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future.

and the_________Jews voted for Hussein Osam....bama!
Obama’s going to stop “Syrian aggression” because they are in lockstep, working on a plan to improve Obama’s foreign policy credibility. It’s Obama’s new world order and it stinks for the United States.
Who aren't as concerned with Israel's continued existence as they are with promoting socialism and abortion.
I sadly think you're wildly optimistic. They would be told that it's Bush's fault and they'd believe it. I have very little faith that Boobus America will snap out of it even with an attack like that.
Just watch how they will smile and happily support the executive orders that Chairman Hussein will spew. One of them I just heard on the local news after the Sunday night game will be to reverse Bush's order on domestic oil drilling. Chairman Hussein will do that and the price of oil will climb right back up to where it was. You know it'll be the oil companies first in line for blame for obvious reasons (though when have you heard anyone say a good thing about them with gas prices being down almost $2 since their high?), and Bush and Cheney second on the basis that they lowered oil prices to help McCain and planned this after the election to sabotage Obama and drive up the price of oil to help their Saudi royal family buddies, and, of course, Halliburton.

Need anyone say anything else?
Someone can start keeping track of these major "flip flops".
Why were the Jews, including my neighbor so taken in with BO.
I showed my neighbor articles and as much info as I could before the elections and he said BO would no do these things. It was just the right trying to tarnish BO’s image to win the election.
Didn’t 73% of Jews vote for him BO?
Or, is this what Obama meant when he said that we have a President, in charge; and that 'his own term' does not begin until January, 21st. . .
It would be quite sensible for Obambi to just leave things alone, because offshore drilling is not going to happen with a 55-60% Rat Congress. But it would be fun to see him catch the blame if he does issue that order, and the prices rise.
You're right about who would get the blame if we were attacked, but only for the Dukakis blue states. The outgoing Administration made things "safe" enough for middle America to take a chance on this bozo, much as Reagan and Bush the Elder dismantled Communism, and made it safe for the country to elect Clinton. You can flip Iowa, Missouri, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania back to red in 2012 if we get attacked on our shores.
Yes, though Malley isn't particuarly significant.
Given his newfound love for Clinton people, I wonder if some of these clown bopping around the world weren't freelancing.
Remember that BHO was on record as stating that the price increases were a good thing, just too quick. He'd prefer slower, and likely tax driven, but since higher oil prices are a good thing, a restriction of supply is a good thing too.
The multi billion dollar industry that could be created here in the US, who needs high paying drilling jobs. We'll give them a $500 tax refund and send them some pie.
There will be many. He's a smart guy, but on so many things I suspect he's clueless. He's got a month to learn. Great politician, though.
