Whats in your wallet? Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean would like to know.
Dean and Republican National Committee Chairman Mike Duncan were speakers at a luncheon at the National Press Club Nov. 5, where both reflected on what went right and wrong with their efforts during the 2008 election cycle.
Dean revealed his party used credit card data to predict voting outcomes. However, Democrats and the media have been highly critical of credit card companies that provide that data.

That clymer Mike Duncan should already be out on his keister for the lousy job he’s done. Ditto for the whole lot at the RNC.
The party of big brother.
I think the GOP needs to hit the Dems as the party of the intrusive state more and more. The party of Mother Government/Big Brother. The party that wants to rip the constitution to shreds while it tells us it cares about us so much.
Wonder how it works?
Are they tracking purchases? Credit balances?
I make an assumptin that Dhims are far more likely to be in credit card debt, assuming lack of personal responsibility, but maybe not.
..wha???
And its the Dhims that cry about the “patriot act”
They are the intruders.
Duncan and his posse at the RNC need sacked immediately. They’ve done a huge disservice to the party and its members.
It is kinda bizarre the way the electorate is sliced and diced and deconstructed. Some of those guys you can flip them just about any zip code and they’ll tell you all about it, the demographics and how they tend to vote. Polling and pollsters is quite a bit different than most people think. Messages and campaign promises are tailored and targeted for different crowds, etc. Through crowd control techniques whole swaths of people can be led towards a predetermined outcome without them ever really understanding what happened, other than a vague sense of uneasiness that something isn’t quite right.
Hmm...sounds like profiling to me...
The credit card companies sell them the data. How do you think you get on all those mailing lists for the junk mail you get every day?
I understand the CC companies sell the data, but WHAT data?
Where they shop? What they buy? Magazine subscriptions? What?
All of the above.
