THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE WILL BE BATTLE ONE
ME | 11/4/08 | VANITY

Posted on 11/04/2008 10:05:06 PM PST by Crimson Elephant

My first vanity, but I do not care.

The first battle to take back the country from liberal thought and rebuild the conservative coalition is THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE.

Somehow, someway TWENTY PERCENT of so called conservatives voted FOR Obama. NOTHING explains 20 percent of "conservatives" voting for Obama. Stay home? Maybe. But what in the HELL is a real conservative doing voting for the most liberal person in the Senate, and the most Liberal candidate ever?

We conservatives have let the liberals take over the media, the schools and the cultural agenda. Now they have the media and the treasury. It seems 20 percent have even let Obama take over their OWN self identification. It is time to lick wounds, but it is also time to plot the future out of the ashes of the last 4 years.

A new generation of leaders are there. Some may be serving in Iraq right now. The Rush babies are coming of age. The children of Reagan. Jindal, Palin, Cantor, Pence, Ryan and others must seize the moment, and we as conservatives have to take back the country, one small battle at a time.

All I can say is, that God for Rush Limbaugh. I cannot imagine living through the Clinton years and now this without him. I know the list of the others, from Levin to Beck to Hannity...but Rush was the first....and the glue that held together the fabric in the 1990s.

The very first battle that must be waged is to fight the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE. I assure you this may very well be the FIRST move in January. It is the snuffing out of the only beacon we have right now. That cannot be allowed, under any circumstances. That alone is worth radical action. You may regard this election as some kind of end, but the true end will be the removal of dissent.

Be ready. Hell is coming, are you going to fight or are you going to melt?

There is a reason Obama and his surrogates mention Hannity over and over and over.

This must be a line in the sand. If they accomplish this step, conservatism will have truly given itself up for dead.

Why is this important? It is the mechanism, the fabric, the framework, the seed, the light for the NEXT generation of conservatives, and we must surely preserve their chance to undo the damage that has occurred.

I choose to fight, not die. For too long we have let the liberals define us, and take over even the EDUCATION OF OUR CHILDREN.

Are we now going to let them take away our freedom of expression, of thought, of dissent?

If there ever was a time for Conservatives to act like radicals. THIS is the time. THIS is the battle and it is coming. Whether we like it or not.

The Fairness Doctrine must be rebranded. The language of conservatives must change, and we must deny the liberals the self imposed right to define us, our actions and their actions.

It is suppression of dissent, and I will not allow it. Neither should you. As much as we all may want to withdraw for awhile, a dagger is aimed at our hearts.

There will be no battle. The Democrats will pass it, the Republicans will assume the fetal position, and the judges will affirm it.

Bye Rush!

If they do pass a fairness doctrine (and I hope they don’t) it sure as hell better contain “fairness” on the traitorous TV stations.

I welcome the challenge.

The Left will always lose these kinds of battles.

I couldn’t stand McCain but there was no way I was voting for a marxist! When McCain picked Palin, it gave me a good excuse to vote for the ticket. Geezzz think how bad he would have been beaten had he not picked Sarah!

thats of course the irony of the whole thing.... it never seems to apply to NPR or PBS which actually get public funding and there is an even stronger case for “fairness”. I think the fairness doctrine will only be applied once a replacement on the court happens. Need to put in one more justice who will think there is no free speech rights in the “antiquated” 1st amendment because Marx said so.

You get rid of free speech in this country and the civil war will start that much sooner.

I predict conservatives will once again bend over (after their pummeling in the MSM and parading their total inability to fight) and take this big one.

We had Rush for 20 years. That’s a good long time, methinks.

Now, I’ll get to tune into Radio Socialist America for a couple hours every day.

If the left snuffs out our right wing media, we're screwed. I think we would have an insurmountable hurdle to climb, to win any elections.

Did anyone hear Chuckie Shummer equate right wing media to porn and how we need to get rid of porn on the airwaves?

It's already beginning.

I cannot imagine any liberal they could put in front of Rush that would not run away crying having to deal with Limbaugh every day.

Rush would tear them to shreds...anybody.

That job would have the highest turnover rate in history!

Damn straight it’s the first battle.

And expect this place to be shut down as a terrorist threat to the USA.

Enjoy it while you can.

The Republican Era is over.

Get a petition going against the Fairness Doctrine and we all need to stay on top of our Senators & Congressmen not to vote for this or they will not get our votes. The same way people called them not to vote for the bailout.

With the Internet, cable television, and satellite radio, the Fairness Doctrine isn’t going to mean what it once meant. I suspect the people who supply satellite radio are hoping and praying for the Fairness Doctrine because it will be the biggest boost they ever got.

Ham radio, Morse Code. Letters(?) Secret meetings.

Study what the French Resistance did in WWII and train others to follow their methods.

Barter. Consider living on a subsistence level farm. Buy used items from trusted others.

Resist. Dissent. Agitate. For our children!

That punk Menendez from NJ threatened Cavuto with being “one of the first to go off the air.” That was BEFORE the election.

I don’t think there is going to be a “battle” to it.

The new FCC chair will reinstate it and a bunch of liberal judges sitting in all of those empty bench seats will uphold it.

When they said “free speech”, they didn’t mean for people who disagree.

Don’t forget Committees of Correspondence popularized by Samuel Adams. He was a true radical patriot fighting for liberty and freedom. It’s time for all conservative radicals to join Committees of Correspondence.
