President Evo Morales has announced he is suspending "indefinitely" the operations of the US Drug Enforcement Administration in Bolivia.
Mr Morales accused the agency of having encouraged anti-government protests in the country in September.
He did not say whether its staff would be asked to leave the country, as coca- growers have been pressing him to do.
Bolivia's first indigenous president once served as the leader of the country's union of coca-growers.

I guess he figures we’re going to need all the drugs we can get if the “messiah” is elected.
No doubt protecting his revenue stream.
The plot thickens with Bolivia. Since they seem to be working in concert with Venezuela, I expect news out of there this week.
This is the week the Russian naval vessels were scheduled to arrive in Venezuela.
If we seize the opportunity to drive the price of oil down further and keep it there and cause the Venezuelan people to get rid of Chavez we can get the situation under control in alliance with Colombia.
If Obama will stop the war on drugs, that gives him one plus on the platform issue.
I’m not worried. Bolivia kicks out the DEA but I didn’t read anything about CIA, FBI, DOD operations being halted.
Ah, si! Evo Morales, leader of the “Movement Towards Socialism” has plans for his people, and using the simple “coca” leaf.
The US should follow suit and kick out the DEA.
