Pollster John Zogby: “Is McCain making a move? The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama today, 48% to 47%. He is beginning to cut into Obama’s lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all. “Obama’s lead among women declined, and it looks like it is occurring because McCain is solidifying the support of conservative women, which is something we saw last time McCain picked up in the polls. If McCain has a good day tomorrow, we will eliminate Obama’s good day three days ago, and we could really see some tightening in this rolling average. But for now, hold on.”

The Zogster is trying to hedge his bets. If McCain keeps up his mo, he can say an upset is in the making. Either way, he avoids the 2004 fiasco where he failed to anticipate the Bush victory.

It’s a three-day rolling average.

If McCain’s three-day rolling average is 44.1, but he polled at 48% on Friday, than that means that on Wed and Thurs, McCain was only polling at an average of 42.15% on Wed. and Thurs.

If my math is right, that’s a 6 point McCain jump in just one day!

If McCain has moved up by 6+, he's still surging. Let's pray it continues through to the Election Day.

I agree. Zogby is a scam artist. He is just trying to get somewhere where he can say he was close.

I’ll say it again. Zogby says “ Polling is 80% science and 20% art.

That quote sums up his polling. He is always searching for the 20%.

Obama peaked too early. Americans flirted with him, gave him a chance.

Just as happens with every liberal trying to fool the country, he slipped up and told the truth, in this case to regular Joe playing ball in his yard.

As election day approaches, Americans are realizing that Obama is NOT ready, and they are coming home to the man that has truly fought for his country, and a fearless woman who is going to help him change Washington, NOT America!

At first, I thought it was a joke, up on Drudge now, amazing what a few hours can do the race, Drudge’s page has a lot of positive nuggets for McCain.
