Election '08: Ohio Democrats refused to act on ACORN's massive vote fraud. Yet they have time to scour the private records of Joe the Plumber. No wonder Barack Obama finds the Constitution an inconvenience.
Helen Jones-Kelley, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and a maxed-out contributor to the Obama campaign, has confirmed that she approved the check on Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher after the Oct. 15 presidential debate.
Jones-Kelley explained her governmental prying by saying, "Our practice is when someone is thrust quickly into the public spotlight, we often take a look" at them. For example, she cited the case of a lottery winner who was found to owe back child support. But Wurzelbacher didn't win the lottery; he merely asked how much more of his hard-earned money was going to be taxed away under the Obama plan.

Ohio Democrats.
Just another example of the "GET IN THEIR FACES" guidance from President Obama to anyone who DARES question the THUGOCRACY.
This is beyond belief, and surely just the tip of the iceberg.
>any state< democrats.
The criminal actions by some DhimmiRat bureaucrats in my home state, Ohio, are truly deplorable, and all involved should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
All that aside, though, I’m left to my observations about the substance of the arguments that have gotten us to this point.
It seems to me that this whole issue (like some others in this election cycle) derives from the striking differences between the parties on the single issue of INCOME TAXES, specifically, the progressive income tax model that applies in the US, today.
Income tax rates determined by one’s income are unfair, under all circumstances, IMO. The US model has spawned tens of thousande of pages of legalese used (twisted?) by tax ‘professionals’ and legislators to shade, tweak, obfuscate, and cheat. The model is broken...hopelessly broken.
It is well past time for us to replace this monstrosity with something else. IMO, the FairTax model is the right one, but I will go so far as to say that even Steve Forbes’ FlatTax proposal would be a much better plan.
Without Income Tax ploys, plays and shams, the candidates would have one less issue over which to argue, and maybe we would have time to get answers to other questions, better explanations of other plans and proposals, etc.
I agree, our state was the home of a bunch of Repub criminals and has now been taken over by a bunch of Dem criminals!
On a better note, saw Sarah today in Bowling Green and Joe was with her. He didn’t speak but the crowd sure did cheer him!
Welcome to President Obama’s USSA.
I’m not a lawyer but this story bugs me more than any in the news lately. I work for a state agency (not Ohio) in the IT department and there are only certain ways in which people get into the system. Its automated. You meet certain criteria and you get flagged for investigation. Otherwise its simply pursuing people for political persecution. I think the governor should change his attitude about this pretty quick. This is going to get all over him.
Where I work there are very explicit conditions under which restricted information about citizens can be accessed. No fricken way does Joe get tagged. I would like her, under oath, to identify all persons that have been screened using her criteria, “thrust into the news.” I think all of them can probably sue. Joe’s lawyer is surely going to ask for that information. I want popcorn. I am looking forward to this as a source of entertainment going forward for some time. I’m going to have to favorite some Ohio news sites. Maybe Joe will put up a site and keep us posted.
Indeed. It should all revolve around probable cause. To use her example of the lottery guy ... OK, someone is thrust into the public eye. Step 1, is he in our investigative data base? Yes? proceed; No? STOP, no probable cause. Jump that gate and you have committed a felony in a just world.
I’ve seen some discussion of that. Its not unreasonable for the state lottery to forward the winners SSN to child support, welfare, student loans, tax bureau, and anybody else he might owe money to before disbursing the money. But the rules are clear about things like that and nobody is going to fiddle the system.
This woman is toast. I expect she’s going to get pretty much the same treatment that Joe got and we are going to know everything about her. I wonder if she is going to think that’s fair. After all, she just got “thrust into the news.” Is her own department going to check her out now? I don’t really see at this point how to stop this process. Its kind of like the tabloids. Everybody pretends they don’t like them but they never go out of business.
If you “Speak Truth to Thugs” it is quite different from “Speaking Truth to Power”. Thugs will hurt you bad - like the public prosecutors in Missouri who will determine ‘truth’ in campaign literature, like Beau Biden persecuting Larry Sinclair, persecuting Joe the Plumber, and getting deported out of Kenya.
Democrap pols are completely lawless, and unaccountable - thanks to the weak-kneed, weak-minded, a$$hole republicans in office who will support the lawlessness of their collogues, despite the stain they bring on themselves for such shameful behavior. The last straw in my experience was when Hassert defended the crook William Jefferson against FBI investigation. That Hassert $hithead.
It's time to bring in the special investigators to clean it up. Ohio had a bunch of Republican scandals exposed in 2006. Now the Dems are showing they can abuse power even better.
a far-left, socialist, terrorist sympathizer, liberal EXTREMIST like B. Hussein Obama,,,,
IS JUST THE MAN FOR THE JOB!!
