DOH!!!

Did anybody see the Homer Simpson scene where he was voting for Obama and the machine did the exact same thing?

“Art” imitating reality, or the other way around?

I personally like early voting. Here, I can vote in the last 2 weeks of October, bring in my ID and a card that was mailed to me, sign the card in front of the poll workers and show my ID. They then scratch off my name on their list and give me a card to vote with in a booth. No lines to wait in. And when I’m done voting, I can review three times to confirm my votes were what I wanted them to be.

Sometimes, life can throw catastrophic events at the worst times. What if I were to end up in the hospital on election day? What if something (God forbid) were to happen to my Sons? One just never knows.

If there’s tampering with early voting in Colorado, there’ll certainly be tampering with mail-in/absentee/election day voting as well.

JMHO

There have also been reports of Obama votes being switched to McCain in some areas of the country using touch screens. I doubt its vote stealing. Most likely the problem is that the touch screens aren’t calibrated correctly.

They need to dump the computerized machines and go back to mechanical voting machines.

the lever style machines here are STILL ALL preset for the democratic line, that’s why no other “line” will work.
Complaints to the bd of elections,GOP,local republican groups, are a total waste of time.

Looking forward to seeing what goes on this year.
Any difficulties ,we’re calling ACORN.

That’s what we have used for several years now in my county in Ohio. I think they should have them nationwide.

I agree with you. I have to vote absentee because I am working at the polls, but many people are voting early. My mom and I were just saying that it seems like a perfect way for election fraud.

They want you to BELIEVE that half the country is Communist, that resistance is futile. It is a LIE.

As much as they cheat, the Republican still wins! And think of all those voters who don’t bother to vote.

Remember in the last two elections the polls wanted you to believe the Democrat was a shoe in...... didn’t work did it?

Never Give up!

"But what ever you do, DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO HIT THE VOTE BUTTON AT THE TOP."

I'm not saying that officials haven't done this, but legally they aren't supposed to. In fact, if someone completes their ballot on the machine and leaves without hitting the vote button, officials are not allowed to press vote. They have to clear the screen.

In Ohio, we were told that we can’t allow people to vote if they are wearing attire promoting a certain candidate.

I’m a tech support analyst, and a large percentage of the population shouldn’t be allowed to go near a computer. No matter how simple something it, you’ll always find a “simpler” person...just sayin.

I do remote tech support with our remote user. I have certainly been able to get these non-techie people able to use a computer well. But they are college educated.

Optical scanning ballots are the way to go. You still have a paper ballot marked with a pen, but they can be counted quickly.

That's what we have now. In 2000/2004 we had the punch card ballots. My machine was so full of chads my ballot wouldn't go all the way in.

I'm also working at the polls. But, I was planning to vote before I started. Is there a reason someone can't vote if they're working at the polls? Or are you going to be working all day? I'm only doing a four hour shift.

I saw on the news tonight where the same thing happened to a lady trying to vote for Obama. Her vote went to McCain. I don’t recall if it was corrected or not, but the same thing happened.

I used to do tech support in 1999. I was convinced that folks should not be allowed to own a computer until they took a class...lol.

Did you ever read the tech support story about the person that couldn’t get a program to work and called in? Tech support went through everything possible, but nothing worked. The tech guy finally asked the caller to check the plug and sure enough, the computer was unplugged. He told the caller to pack everything up and send it back to the company cause he/she was too stupid to own a computer. He was fired.

I’m working all day. At least in my county, if you sign up to work at the polls, you have to work the full day which is 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
