I think this woman is just beginning to hit her stride. She is on top when she speaks on energy. She has much more knowlege and experience in this field than I realized. Energy is key to America's future

maybe it’s just me...but it sounds like she might be getting sick, or maybe just a raspy throat from so much speaking. Hang in there Sarah!!! We’re almost there!!

She did fine, but spoke way too long. Attention spans aren’t what they used to be.

My husband mentioned that it looks like she has lost weight, (as if she can afford to). This is one tough woman, to go through all of this campaigning, and have a 6 mo. old, and 4 other kids, 1 in Iraq no less!

Agreed, when giving a policy speech one must stay on script. She kept interjecting her stump speech, but all told it was very good. Like I said, she is just BEGINNING to hit her stride. Next election, cycle whether VP or not, she will be a major force to reckon with.
The Palin effect will be one for the history books

She does look like she has lost weight. I have been specifically praying for her in regards to sleep, health and nutrition
If McPalin manage to win this election, our country will truly begin down that road of energy Independence

Sarah is not only beginning to look Vice-Presidential but she is starting to look very Presidential. Sarah is a female warrior. The lack of sleep she enjoys now, she will more than make up for it after November 4.

Sarah's speech was right on! She nailed Obama/Biden and the DEMS too on their “no we can't, no we can't” on any solutions to becoming energy independent!

Please post a video of Sarah's entire speech if you happen to come across it! It needs to be sent far and wide!!:)

I thought that part was very effective also. She said for a campaign whose motto is yes, we can...they sure have an energy policy of no we can't.
She also stuck it to the “do nothing congress” and said they have a record of doing nothing to advance energy independence and we can expect more of the same if Obama is elected.

She is fantastic, a better speaker of the 3. She is far more pleasant to listen to. No wonder the Left hates her, she is an accomplished woman with a command presence, and they can’t handle that.

I probably heard about 15 minutes of her speech and I thought it was very good....she really knows our energy problems, and as far as I am concerned she has realistic ways to solve them.

..as for her speech being too long, she had a lot to talk about, and probably she was obliged to fill a certain amount of time....what about Obama's 30 minute speech coming up this evening? .....yes he is a great orater, however, he rants on and on....he definitely gets boring.

I can't watch or listen to him anymore without getting sick to my stomach, especially when he is speaking at his rallies....I can't stand the hooded menacing look in his eyes.

I thought Sarah absolutely HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK with this speech!!!!!!! I know that campaign rallies are a different format but this is the way she her knowledge and expertise should have been showcased throughout the campaign! Like Ronald Reagan, she has a real skill of taking a complex and somewhat boring subject like energy independence and relating it to the average American. After listening to her it becomes crystal clear that energy independence is VITAL to our National security and future prosperity. It reminded me of how Americans during WWII rallied to the cause of Freedom and WENT TO WORK doing whatever they could to help the USA—the Country they LOVED..I hope Fox News replays at least part of this tonight, more than once!

I wouldn't be concerned about weight loss, the time line is just about right for losing the weight of pregnancy. I didn't really know her before that, so I am assuming she is back to normal.

CNN carried it in it's entirety also.
I bet it pained the crew there to see the REAL Sarah: KNOWLEGEABLE, CONFIDENT, and SKILLED ORATOR.
Sort of bursts their SNL caricature

Actually, I thought she might be working with a voice coach to lower her pitch. Maybe to add a little gravitas.

She uses far more words and repititious thoughts than she should. The speech could have been far more lean; too many filler words. Sarah has a ton of potential, gives a rousing stump speech with great audience identification, but in the more confined settings of a formal speech or an interview she doesn’t do nearly as well.

I think she is going to overcome all this in time. But for now she would do well to pare down the wordiness.

Criticisms aside, she’s right-on on the issues. America critically needs McCain-Palin’s energy policy - right now.
