'ACORN Uses Public Funds to Steal Elections, Now Your Gun Rights,' Says SAF

BELLEVUE, Wash., Oct 28, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ACORN, the publicly-funded national organization linked to voter fraud in several states is now actively interfering with the exercise of firearm civil rights in New Jersey, and the Second Amendment Foundation is calling for an immediate federal investigation. "ACORN has, since 1998, received an estimated $31 million in government funding," said SAF founder Alan Gottlieb. "Now they have intervened in a New Jersey gun rights case in defense of an illegal Jersey City one-gun-a-month ordinance that violates the state preemption statute. "For the past few election cycles," Gottlieb noted, "ACORN has clearly grown more partisan toward the political Left. ACORN'S PAC has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for president. That's hardly surprising since he used to serve as their legal counsel and he taught the group about community organizing. ACORN and Obama are lockstep in seeking to destroy our Second Amendment rights.

The good news if it comes to a new civil war, the ACORN retards and their allies will be on the losing end.

Federal funding for the criminal conspiracy known as ACORN needs to end.

Most of them are conservatives. So I doubt it.

"ACORN has, since 1998, received an estimated $31 million in government funding..."

$31 million?

I'm slumping in my chair, at this point. I'm aghast at what those $31 million could have done, other than embolden and enable a socialist/Marxist/commie organization like those 'so-called people', who've actively-undermined America's Election/Voting System.

God help us, please.

I'm guessing that their ranks will thin considerably as the no-knocks progress.

Yes - I remember how the feds disobeyed orders to confiscate guns in New Orleans, disobeyed orders to kill Koresh's cult in Waco, and stood up for for the Bill of rights at Ruby Ridge. Oh Wait, they DID confiscate the guns in NO, killed Koreshe's followers in Waco, and murdered people at Ruby Ridge for exercising their second amendment rights.

Sie followed orders chust like the good SS they are. "Die fahne hoch, Die Reihen fest geschlossen, FBI marchiert etc." (spelling not guaranteed) I'm trying to remember where it was that I read about federal agents siding with anyone the federal government had decided to destroy, but I can't come up with any instances.

One can speculate that will be the case, but going by australia and england it probably won't happen to any significant extent.

Why don't we ask Vicki Weaver about that. Oooops. Can't do that. She's dead. Shot through the face by an FBI sniper.

Only fools doubt that which has already happened.

I have no use for calling federal agents SS. Despite a few atrocious acts such as Ruby Ridge and WACO, they also have bagged hundreds of terrorists, hunted down wanted criminals, killed and captured drug kingpins, and put mobsters away.

BTW, it was the NO police that confiscated the guns.

Geez. 5 US soldiers raped and burned the bodies of an Iraqi girl and her family.

I guess that makes our military a bunch of sadistic rapists.

Despite a few atrocious acts such as Ruby Ridge and WACO,

Yea, if by a 'few atrocious acts' you mean the cold blooded murders of 65 men, women, and children in Texas I guess, in some insane universe, you could be right.

they also have bagged hundreds of terrorists, hunted down wanted criminals, killed and captured drug kingpins, and put mobsters away.

You mean like the Boston Office of the FBI did with Whitey Bulger? Say, that was some nice work. How many decades in prison did those innocent guys serve? Which FBI Agents were prosecuted exactly?

5 US soldiers raped and burned the bodies of an Iraqi girl and her family.

And they're all undergoing Courts Martial under the UCMJ.

Hey, can you give me the name of one single, solitary Federal Agent who was disciplined in any way for Ruby Ridge or Waco?

Did any of them pay so much as a five dollar fine? Get any jail time? Letter of reprimand? Anything? Bueller? Bueller?

You see pissant, the Military actually prosecutes when it finds lawbreaking in its ranks. In the FBI when you murder people, you get promoted.

Don't change the subject. You have absolutely NO evidence that they won't be right there rounding up the new Jews (that would be conservative gun owners clinging bitterly to their guns and religion) OTO there is considerable precedent that they won't be taking the citizens' side. And BTW do you think that catching terrorists and bank robbers makes murdering citizens and trampling their rights OK? And fyi the feds were right there confiscating guns. It was not exclusively a NO police operation.

Folks, if you learn nothing more this election than about ACORN and other agencies that are out there to destroy founding principles on your tax dime, then this election will have been well worth it no matter who wins.

By now we are aware of tens of different concerns that ACORN has it’s fingers in, most of it financed on your tax dollars.

What about ecological concerns, conservancies, schools and still other special interests? Are these concerns being administered in a politically neutral manner? Is land being hoarded away, gifted to private concerns, or are tax funds being gifted to these agencies so they can purchase land? Are leftist policies being taught in the schools?

I don’t think we have any idea how many concerns out there are being funded with our tax dollars, even though they are designed to short circuit founding principles.

If you want to have a heart attack, check out how many conservancies there are out there. Then realize that government funds are being used to run many of them.

I stridently disagree with all this. ACORN is bad, it it’s merely an example of many other firms out there that are trying to destroy your values on your dime.

We spend that much, or more, every day propping up foreign countries that could easily one day become our next new enemy.

Where are Republicans on this? Excuse me, I should have asked "Where are the conservatives on this?" Why are entities that receive public funding allowed to advocate a position on controversial political issues, especially since it's almost always on the anti-Constitutional side of the argument?????
