Red Star over Obama's America

Apparently there is a new logo for Obama, one redolent with historical precedent and meaning. Here is the yard sign version for sale on a DNC site:

I thought this was a spoof until I went to the website and checked for myself. But the URL clearly reads http://www.democratnationalcommittee.com/candidates/barack_obama.htm, and there is other similar merchandise.

For those who were mis-educated by leftists, here is a brief essay on the meaning of the red star. And here are some of the folks who use the red star:

Edgar Snow, the historian of the rise of communism in China, clearly understood what a red star means.
