He’s getting cocky. The word in WASH. is that BO would choose him to be SEC DEF.
Reason #29 why I hope BO loses.
In January 2007, Hagel openly criticized President Bush’s plan to send an additional 20,000 troops to Iraq. He called it, “the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam, if it’s carried out.”
“I have to say this is one of the most arrogant, incompetent administrations I’ve ever seen or ever read about.”
He also believes that the Iraq War is one of the five biggest blunders in history. Hagel is critical of George W. Bush’s foreign policy, calling it “reckless.”
He considers Bush’s foreign policy a “ping pong game with American lives”.
HAGEL VOTED FOR THE WAR!
Chuck is a Virginia carpetbagger, so the “Nebraska” is much like the “R” by his name - mostly decorative.
But yes, our state is duly embarrassed by this tool. Had he represented my district we would probably have recalled him by now (we have a decent history of recall elections since the late 1980’s).
Perhaps. But then, Obama has even less experience than she. Therefore, if Governor Palin isn't qualified, then certainly Obama is not.
Hey Chuckie .....Gov Palin is unqualified as were Reagan, Clinton, Bush and (cough) Carter in what way ?
Hagels words invalidate him and his own ability to collect a simple thought !
Doom on the POS !

Sure would like to see some of you Nebraska boys to let your wives take Hagel out back and kick his ass.
By repeating a line from Saturday Night Live as if it a fact, displays Hagel as being a full-fledged moron. His reason for determining Palin as unqualified rests on his belief that Saturday Night Live is a news program.
Thank goodness Hagel is retiring - he's much too stupid and unqualified to be any type of representative in the government.
Not many in this part of Nebraska, meaning all places west of Omaha, care much for the opinions of Senator Chuck Hagel... He is considered personna non grata with every person to whom I mention his name.
My own experience, via phone conversations with his staff and in written responses received from his office, is that he is a self-serving BS artist... a man who would not give a straight answer if his life depended on such.
If you raise a valid point with his handlers, they attack your position, question your sources and insult your intelligence, rather than pass the information to the senator, as is their proper job to do.
I recall one occaision, during the Bank Bailout negotiations, a member of his Washington office staff argued a point with me for 20 minutes. This aide acted as if I worked for him, and not the other way around. Silly me... thinking this a representative republic.
Glad to see Chuck Hagle depart. He never did this state much good, excepting for promoting the assinine ethanol conjob, yet another government subsidized industry... and the biggest waste of land and water resources I ever knew.
Hagel would do Nebraskans a favor by leaving the state for bluer pastures. He is no friend of republican government, but he sure would be a good fit for Obama’s brand of socialism, IMO.
You mean FDR was not president when the Stock Market crashed in 1929? But that’s what my grandparents told me they heard FDR say on the television that faitful October day! /s
Hagel is unqualified to tie his own shoe laces.
Translation: “If Palin becomes PResident, my sorry butt is toast”.
Who let Hagel speak and embarass himself?
