I really don’t get this. Do Jews like paying higher taxes? Do Jews no longer care about the security of Israel?
I wonder if it has anything to do with the fertility rate of American Jews? You have to care about future generations to turn down the siren call of government goodies today for stability for tomorrow. Or are American Jews like Europeans, slowly dwindling in numbers, concerned only with their personal benefits?
