UNITED NATIONS -- There are no "Obama 2008" buttons, banners or T-shirts visible here at U.N. headquarters, but it might be difficult to find a sliver of territory in the United States more enthusiastic over the prospect of the Illinois senator winning the White House.

"What they want is the bending of the knee, and they'll get it from an Obama administration." Indeed.

Of course they do. The U.N. plans on Obama helping them get rid of that pesky American sovereignty thing and providing them with access to the U.S. taxpayers’ bank accounts.

they think that the Democrat would usher in a new agenda of multilateralism after an era marked by Republican disdain for the world body.

That should be all anyone has to know about the O.

An informal survey of more than two dozen U.N. staff members and foreign delegates showed that the overwhelming majority would prefer that Sen. Barack Obama win the presidency, saying they think that the Democrat would usher in a new agenda of multilateralism after an era marked by Republican disdain for the world body.

Multilateralism is a code word for "not in the best interest of America."

Is anybody else getting giddy about knowing how pissed off the whole world is going to be when McCain/Palin win?

It's going to take about 4 years for me to stop giggling every time I think about it.

Maybe the nutjobs will do another one of those apology videos, those were fun to watch.

Been a joke since its inception. The UN has accomplished nothing.

The U.N. plans on Obama helping them get rid of that pesky American sovereignty thing

And they will get it. Form an article earlier in the week where 'The One" was greeting people at a cookout in NC. An old lady refused to shake his hand and asked him about the North American Union. This is what he said:

Obama assured her that there are no plans to create a common government between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada. “I know some people have been hearing rumors about it," Obama said. "But as far as I can tell that’s just not something that’s happening. We would never give up our sovereignty in that way.”

And Americans will probably never know the full extent of how the Bush administration has dealt blows to the U.N. over the last 8 years. He was quicker to replace Clintonites on U.N. assignments than he was in most of the cabinet departments. But, so much of that went under the radar in his first months when the press was just slamming him for “stealing the elction” and not being ready to lead, etc.

Birds of a feather. Whoda thunk? Another corrupt, appeasing criminal enterprise supporting The One.

And, if Obama loses...I wouldn’t be surprised to see him make a play for SecGen over there, when Ki-Moon is done in 3 years (or sooner due to “events”). Between D’s controlling our senate and Obama at the U.N....it could be worse than him being president.

The title of this thread just gave me new insight...

In the context of biblical prophecy, it is the world (nations) which will come against Israel. Scripture suggests that some will in fact not, and it will be those nations which will be blessed as opposed to being cursed.

Much of what happens in the US directly affects the Global economy and world view. We clearly see this with the global economic crisis being triggered by our own. And yet the US dollar rises.

The loss of the United States to socialism, combined with the loss of Israel’s greatest ally in an Obama administration would do much in strengthening the world’s position against Israel.

However, the defeat of the marxist/socialist/islamic attempts to subvert our way of life and capacity/desire to defend Israel would greatly anger the world and would harden the UN in it’s distaste for the US and Israel as Pharoe’s heart was hardened against Moses and his people.

I don’t believe God is prepared to abandon this country yet.
I believe God HAS blessed this nation.
I believe that God is using this nation in a unique way to both protect Israel and to shape world views.

Yes... McCain WILL be tested. But unlike Obama, McCain will pass the test.

I’m not predicting a McCain win, but the title of this thread just gave me new hope.
