VP candidate Joe Bien has (now famously) stated that Obama will be tested with an emergency shortly after taking office. He also claims that his supporters will not like his solution, and that his pole numbers will tank, but advised supporters that they wouldn't be happy. One of the scenarios could include deploying troops all over the globe. How an he manage a multi-front emergency? You guessed it.
Obviously Obama can't mention anything now, or else his young Obots will have a cow. He has to wait until he's in office, and then pull a Clinton; "I have tried as hard as I could to cut your taxes, but the problem was much worse than I was led to believe."
This has been a foregone conclusion for some time...
With the house, senate and whitehouse owned by the dems, they’ll seek to punish the right with their draft...
I have yet to hear the usual Dem talking point, usually on messageboards frequented by younger adults:
Psst! Did you hear? (Republican presidential nominee) wants to bring back the draft! He's a warmonger and blood will be on his hands.
(This is when I inform them that Republicans usually do NOT want a draft, and past efforts to bring it back have been by Democrats...Rangel has proposed it in the past, google it)

The only drafts we’ve had in the 20th century where done by Democrats (not counting Korea because Eisenhower simply didn’t end the WWII draft, didn’t start a new one.)

The first six months won’t reveal the dimensions of his true agenda. After a national crisis, his anti-military agenda may surface, but the tools he needs to reform centuries of tradition won’t be in place - yet. After a year or two, the ticket punchers and academics will infiltrate junior positions and suck@sses like Weasely Clark will dominate. After this, it’s anybody’s guess.
Plus, he'd draft women, too, including mothers of small children.
"Everyone .." His mantra. Of course, this won't come out until after the election, and his accomplices in the MSM definitely will not ask him until AFTER he is safely elected.
Would be fun to let them know to see how fast they run for cover!!

I can believe that a draft will be instituted. It is very important in some circles that absolute equality (for others) prevail. That means that women will be drafted, and placed in barracks next to men and shall be required to shower with the men. As far as is humanly possible it will be a very diverse barracks and shower.
Polls don’t drop just becuase your own supporters abamndon you the drop when the whole country abandons you. Also, polls go up when President use military force in the face of danger, not down. Polls go down when President shrink in the face of danger like what happened to Carter over Iran.
It is much more likely that Obama will cut the military and do nothing in the face of provocation, like an attack by Iran upon Israel or the invasion of the Ukraine by Russia, than it is he’ll use the military and have a draft.
A lefty Congress wouldn’t let Obama have a draft nor use the military anyway.
It’s not hard to figure out....
Obama supports a requirement for both men and women to register with the Selective Service.
"Women are already serving in combat [in Iraq and Afghanistan] and the current policy should be updated to reflect realities on the ground," said Wendy Morigi, Mr. Obama's national security spokeswoman. "Barack Obama would consult with military commanders to review the constraints that remain."

Part of me wants to say that if Americans are STUPID enough to elect someone like this, "we" deserve it.
However, conservatives and other people who pay attention, and who have half a brain and are not deceived by liberal fools, DO NOT DESERVE THIS. Nor do future generations who will rue the day.
Kind of reminds me of the story of Lot in the Bible.
Silky Pony Boy (Edwards) and Eliot Spitzer would like that.
