Jesse Ventura, when he’s not talking about 9-11, makes a lot of sense.

Describing the two party system to Larry King, he said: “[W]hat you have today is like walking into the grocery store and you go to the soft drink department, and there is only Pepsi and Coke. Those are the two you get to choose from. There is no Mountain Dew, no Root Beer, no Orange. They’re both Colas; one is slightly sweeter than the other, depending on which side of the aisle you are on.” ... read more

Mountain Dew? To quote Homer Simpson, “Ewww. Crab Juice, please!”

Jesse Ventura, when he’s not talking about 9-11, makes a lot of sense.

My link to the article keeps ignoring my efforts. So...

Jesse Ventura, when he is talking about ANYTHING but professional wrestling, rarely ever makes any sense unless you derive great comfort in liberal drivel.

The litany of idiotic pronouncements from Jesse Ventura is way too long cite hereabouts.

Well, I usually do agree with Walter Williams.

As Walter Williams points out, “We often hear the claim that our nation is a democracy. That wasn’t the vision of the founders. They saw democracy as another form of tyranny.” In Democracy: The God That Failed , Hans-Hermann Hoppe notes “it is difficult to find many proponents of democracy in the history of political theory. Almost all major thinkers had nothing but contempt for democracy. Even the Founding Fathers of the U.S., nowadays considered the model of democracy, were strictly opposed to it. Without a single exception, they thought of democracy as nothing but mob-rule.”

When all the bottom feeders of society that contribute nothing are allowed to vote, what can you expect?

I heard Williams was going to support the democratic candidate. Any further developments on that report?

Walter William? I don’t think so.

You might be thinking of Larry Elder.

That is a specious piece of verbiage. Walter Willimas would NEVER support a Marxist, racist, liar such as Barack Obama.

That may be true I googled Walter Williams and Obama and nothing came up.

I was speaking of Walter E. Williams. I highly doubt it. He's more of a libertarian.

"In an interview with Newsmax, he described politicians in the two party system as pro wrestlers. “In pro wrestling, out in front of the people, we make it look like we all hate each other and want to beat the crap out of each other, and that’s how we get your money, [and get you to] come down and buy tickets. They’re the same thing. Out in front of the public and the cameras, they hate each other, are going to beat the crap out of each other, but behind the scenes they’re all going to dinner, cutting deals. And [they're] doing what we did, too — laughing all the way to the bank. And that to me is what you have today, in today’s political world, with these two parties.”"

You know as much about pro wrestling as you do politics. I wonder how HBK and Bret Hart's friendship's faring these days?

In pro wrestling, like in Presidential elections, there are only two contenders actually fighting in the ring; supporting the various hangers-on indicates a basic denial of this reality.

If the choices are Coke or Pepsi, go ahead and die of thirst craving Mountain Dew if you wish, but don’t blame anyone but your spoiled selves.

Jesse Ventura, when he’s not talking about 9-11, makes a lot of sense.

I hate it when the anticlimax of a commentary piece comes in the opening sentence.

As someone who has been governed by this idiot, I can categorically state that this is NOT the case.

I’d be surprised if you were ever governed by Jesse. It’s a persistent myth that states are anything more than administrative units of the central (federal) beaucracy. The origin of the myth is easy to trace ... we had this thing called The Constitution of the United States of America which granted limited power to the federal government, and left all else to the states and the people ...
