The presidential race in New Hampshire has grown closer, with Barack Obama now leading John McCain 50% to 46%, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state.
At the beginning of the month, the Democrat held a ten point lead over his opponent, which shifted New Hampshire from toss-up to leans Democratic in the Rasmussen Balance of Power Calculator. In the eight polls prior to October, Obama has held the lead in five, McCain in three.
Voters in New Hampshire are divided on who they trust more on the top issue of the economy, with Obama holding the edge, 46% to 45%. While 43% agree with Obamas idea that spreading the wealth around would be good for everybody, 44% disagree.
Voters trust McCain more on national security and the War on Terror by a 53% to 43% margin.
Regardless of who they want to win, 46% of voters in New Hampshire think Obama will win the Granite State, while 39% say the winner will be McCain.
Obama now leads 51% to 42% among unaffiliated voters in New Hampshire. He was up 55% to 37% lead three weeks ago. McCain leads by ten among men, while women favor Obama by nineteen (see full demographic crosstabs).
What is with the women’s vote? Are they buying his BS, and wish for “communism with a human face”?
Trending for McCain.
Obama is losing ground...
C’mon Bradley!
Yeah!!!
Yeah!!!
And Wilder too...
What’s the stake in the 2nd District? that’s all that really matters in NH
C’mon Bradley is right!!!
I’ve thought this would be a big factor all along but MSM said “nah!”
We’ll see, won’t we?
Not possible. Axelrod said that this state was in the bag. ;)
McCain better win New Hampshire. God knows he’s probably met each and every one of their residents at least ten times by now.
Still I hope we have poll watchers there. Drive-ins from taxachussetts and the neighboring liberal states may infect the place.
I’m beginning to see why the Founding Fathers didn’t see fit to explicitly assign voting rights to women. If this offends anyone here, too bad, but I call ‘em like I see ‘em.
Who would have thought the “live free or die” state would vote communist? They still write that bit of nostalgia on their license plates.
Should be changed to “just dead”. The old state motto doesn’t make sense in the brave new communist world.
I call 'em like I see 'em as well. :)
Women generally are more inclined to crave security and hence the nanny state.
The Live Free or Die state has ben infiltrated by Mass*oles who want a lighter version of Communism than where they came from.
I will pretend you are trying to be funny, because IF Republicans win come November it will be because of a woman, named SARAH!!! And whom did Sarah say was in control? She gave the credit to whom it is due, our Heavenly Father.
Yeah I know about the mass-holes. they snuck in using the TV channel. It sure isn’t the NH I knew.
Women vote with their heart. This is not something you want to do to elect your leader.
Sorry, I’m not being funny at all. If we win because of Palin it will NOT be the women who do it according to the numbers showing they OVERWHELMINGLY support the socialist.
Anecdotal my wife does NOT like McCain. Know why? Is it because of his policies? no, she doesn’t care for him because “he has a temper”. You call this clear thinking? I have shown her reams of information about Hussein and I was very careful to avoid the really far out crap. I told her about his Reverend Wright assoc, his William Ayers and Fran Marshall Davis assoc, his vote to deny babies who survive abortions medical help and his subsequent LIE about it along with his many other on the record lies. I explained and showed her his plans for tax increases and his Party’s plans for a 25% cut in ther military budget, all to no avail. There is no reason to believe the other women who all seem to share the blind stupid allegiance to this nothing of a Marxist candidate have thought processes any different then those of my wife of some 40+ years.
So in the end she won’t vote for McCain because he “has a temper” buy will vote for the Marxist DESPITE his past and his on the record comments and actions. The only positive in the whole scenario is we live in NJ so it doesn’t really matter who either of us vote for since the fools here will ensure a Hussein victory in this State.
