So I went to the Obama website this afternoon and clicked on the "Donate" button.
I used my real MasterCard number (but was not asked for the 3 digit security code).
Used the following information and it was accepted...
First name: Fake
Last Name: Donor
Address: 1 Dollar To Prove A Point
City: Fraudulent
State: AL
Zip / Post: 33333
Email Address: allmyinfoismadeup@mediabias.com
Phone Number: 2125551212
Employer: Mainstream Media
Occupation: Being in the Tank
And incredibly, my $5 donation was ACCEPTED!!!
I then went to the McCain site and used the exact same information (and WAS asked for the 3 digit security code for my MasterCard). There, my contribution was rejected with the following message: "Your transaction was not approved for the following reason(s): Invalid data", and then: "We have found errors in the information that you have submitted. Please review the information below and try again."

I’ve made a ton of contributions this season and everytime they ask for addy and full name and CC number plus exp date plue the 3 digit code...
Same with me. Hinderacker is not the only guy that’s tested the Obama system this way. There is something highly illegal going on.....but I’m not enough of a computer geek to figure it out.

I believe this explains why charges are showing up on people’s credit card statements that never donated to Hussein’s campaign.
If Hussein is elected, his fund raising will be a scandal as he is taking office.
I’ll further add that I’ve donated to McCain’s campaign and even with CORRECT info I’ve had trouble getting the transactions to go through.
I’m glad Powerline is on this about Obama donations. You’d think (right) they would have battened down the hatches after the news of other phony contributors came out (”Doodad Pro”, “Test Person,” etc). The fact that they haven’t is damning.
Ace of Spades has a thread about this—with flaming skull, natch—that posters have submitted $5 donations in the most hilarious names. The names usually are not very, shall we say, kind to Obama. * snicker *

If I was a nefarious Saudi prince, say, who wanted to contribute but keep it secret, what would prevent me from altering my name slightly with every contribution, and varying my addresses between my 8 houses and 14 apartments as addresses. Wouldn't the actual bill go to the address tied to the card, not to the one I supplied to the Obama campaign? I don't know how this would work, Im looking for expertise. If it wnt to the address on the on-line form, why wouldn't this have been caught a long time ago?
Doesn't visa care? I went to their website and looked for "secuity" but they refer me to BBB. So I sent it to Rush instead.

More likely it’s a way for certain people (think Soros and other rich foreign interests) to contribute massive amounts in violation of Federal campaign laws.

Remember that Joe Biden is a wholly owned subsidiary of MBNA which was purchased by Bank of America about a year ago making them one of the biggest credit card companies going.
e-tailer software has configurable security settings. Sounds like McCain has his turned up to verify card number, address and the security code. This is the most secure setting.
Doesn’t sound like Obama is checking anything, which explains the stories of a couple of weeks ago about people finding Obama campaign charges on their cards that they didn’t make.
