Guess who said the following this morning about Joe Biden's latest gaffe, his statement that America would be faced with a major international challenge within the first six months of an Obama administration as foreign forces seek to test the young new president: "certainly if Sarah Palin had said this, it would be above the fold in most newspapers today."
1. Brent Bozell 2. Rush Limbaugh 3. McCain adviser Nancy Pfotenhauer 4. Dan Rather
If you guessed 1, 2 or 3, you'd be a rational NewsBusters reader . . . but wrong. Yes, the answer is 4, Dan Rather. In true man-bites-MSM mode, Rather made the remark on today's Morning Joe.

Dan Rather? I just about fell out of my chair
Sarah Palin wouldn’t NEED to say it. Ever.
Four years ago, the "Rather standard," (the standard the MSM applied against Dan Rather) permitted only lies felt to be plausibly deniable, and he crossed that line.
However, the standard that we're witnessing routinely today on the front pages and on TV headline news is that it is perfectly "ok" for them to lie by omission and comission blatantly because to them, the end - getting the "Chosen One" elected - definitely justifies any means at all.
Totally Orwellian.
This is innoculation.
Biden and Obama know that for all of the hate-mongering against Bush the last 8 years, sooner or later you have to be a grown up.
He’s winking at the base saying, ‘trust us when we do it’.
God help us.
Dan Rather has now joined a list behind Dennis Kucinich, Hillary Clinton and Alec Baldwin (twice!!) who in the past monthhave said something that I agree with!!!
Make it stop!!!
No WAY! Dan Rather? Our Dan Rather?
eegads..Suppose he’s gotten out of the beltway long enough to get some sense back into his brain?
I agree with a post on another topic. It’s not a gaffe. They want to change the subject from plumbers/working Americans.
he’s smitten
