Where Is McCain’s Outrage?
The New Agenda ^ | October 18, 2008 | The Stiletto

Posted on 10/18/2008 10:52:07 AM PDT by theothercheek

During the final debate between John McCain and Barack Obama at Long Island’s Hofstra University moderator Bob Schieffer asked about the abased tone of the campaign, and the GOP contender made this cryptic, inside baseball reference: “In fact, some T-shirts that are very... unacceptable.”

What T-shirts? McCain never says. And unless you watch FOX News or regularly read political Web sites, you would not know what the heck he's taking about.

Unacceptable? The Stiletto is perplexed and dismayed that McCain has never defended the honor of his running mate, who has been called a whore, a c**t - and worse. He should have turned to Obama and said: “As a son, a brother, a husband, a father, an officer and a gentleman I demand, Senator, that you look straight into the camera and apologize directly to Sarah Palin for supporters of yours using the vile epithet ‘c**t’ to refer to her.”

McCain probably would have gotten bleeped by the censors, but Obama – who has accused Palin of being “racist” when she says he doesn’t pal around with people who hold America in the same regard as most of us do – would have been knocked back on his heels. And the press - busy destroying the reputation of workaday citizen Joe the Plumber - would have been silenced. That could have been the game-changer McCain has been seeking all along.

Too bad McCain didn’t have the guts to do it.

The moonbats and the media would claim that Republicans distributed the shirts simply to discredit Obama and the ‘Rats.

I hate the word, “Unacceptable?”

State it is wrong, or a lie and then explain why.

“Unacceptable?” to whom???

I place “Unacceptable?” into the trash basket of “politically correct.”

Amen,, my mom and dad caught what he said, and had no idea what he was referring to.
I wish he would have done this exactly. I can’t think of a better response to Obama demanding McCain take personal responsibility for every word said. (or imagined to be said at his rallies)

Also,, can you imagine how fun it would be if he got bleeped when he said the word so proudly displayed by the Obama-bots, the radfems at the university,, etc?

Imagine the fun,, the Dems are SO uncivil, that merely quoting them gets you censored?

Too bad McCain didn't have the guts to do a lot of things. Most of all - to win!

Too bad McCain didn’t have the guts to do it.

That is the mantra of the right in this campaign isn’t it?

Unfortunately for the electorate, conservatism, capitalism and individual rights....McCain believes he is running an “honorable” campaign. Senator McCain...honor is defending this country and if you must be meaner, dirtier, stronger, more powerful than your opponent then DO IT. If Obama wins you won’t recognize this country. You may not have as many days left on this earth as the millions of other Americans who know why you fought for this country your whole life. Why give up the fight now? This is not an enemy you need to be cozying up with like some Stockholm Syndrome captive. You are not captive. You can and should be in charge and setting the tone of this race. If you fail to win....America fails to be a nation with capitalism as the driving engine of our economy—replaced with the infinite wisdom of Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Harry Reid and Barack Obama. America fails to be a nation strong enough to defend ourselves against foreign enemies...but strong enough to violate every American’s civil rights. America fails to be a nation of freedom....rather it slips into an era of slavery...enslaved to big government with a very select few big elite Democrats telling us what we can and can’t do. Slavery will return by different form. You need to fight like it’s our last fight....In 1941 we fought so German or Japanese didn’t become our national language. Now you must fight so Liberal code words of political correctness don’t become the only acceptable language in America.

Fight Senator Fight!!

If you run an “honorable” campaign against the product of Chicago machine politics, which Obama surely is, then you will lose. And I think you missed the point of this editorial: It is dishonorable and cowardly for McCain not to defend Sarah Palin’s honor. It’s the least he could do for his running mate, and the least he could do as a man.

The New Agenda says it has close ties to Carly Fiorina so I am hoping his campaign will see this editorial. But before it’s too late, how can we wave this red flag in front of him and get his attention and get him to take a stand on this? There’s not much time left ...

Failing that, he should at least be demanding 0bama's public apology for falsely criticizing the governor during the last debate, the charge made about the non-existent shouting that was debunked by the Secret Service. Not just 0bama's apology, but from some of these lamestream talking-heads who tried to propound the lie as well.

Well said!

The Gore debacle was the first hijack attempt.

We are now in a second hijack attempt.

If survival in this instance can be defined as adhering to the spirit and letter of the US Constitution or succumbing to blatant socialism, we are now most certainly in a struggle for survival.

If so, this should not be viewed as a time for polite debate but rather viewed as a last political stand.

The MSM continues to believe and promote the lie - apparently truth is no defense. Still, McCain needs to bash Obama for raising phony charges of racism to cover up his campaign’s ugly use of sexism agains Palin and ageism against him.

This means using every weapon at hand. And righteous indignation - which McCain has so far not shown - is an effective weapon. If calling his running mate a “c**t” is not enough to get his dander up, then what is? So far he’s pulled ALL his punches.

You are right, of course, but it may be too late for that to have a measurable impact.

It appears we may be outnumbered but for the independents.

My recommendation would be that McCain present in the closing days a “Newt-type” contract for America.

One of my complaints with the GOP is that it has not made such a Contract a permanent feature.

I agree. I would add to that, that when Gore was in it, it was only an issue of stupidity, which is dangerous in itself, but now it’s an issue of socialism, which is so much more dangerous and detrimental to all of us. It is SO much more important to defeat Nobama.
His supporters think they’re getting the “Hope” diamond but it’s only cheap polished glass.

The part of the campaign which I think John has failed in the most is in his tepid defense of Sarah from why she is qualified to be VP and President and the lack of outrage from the mockery, attacks, smears and loathsome writings and slanders directed towards her without letup. He should act like he’s prepared to defend her to the death, like she is of him.
