Yesterday, the Tanning Bed Media discovered unpaid tax liens against Joe Wurzelbacher. Two days ago, we would have said, Who? Hes better known this week as Joe the Plumber after his impromptu dialogue with Barack Obama produced a blatantly redistributionist answer from the Democratic presidential candidate.
In their haste to pillory Joe for the audacity of asking a tough question of Obama, the Tanning Bed Media missed a couple of other interesting tax liens. Patterico does the work of the TBM:
Oh I almost forgot to mention: Martin Nesbitt, the treasurer of Obamas campaign, has tax liens. So do his companies. Youd think that matters more than the tax liens of Joe the Plumber, wouldnt you? But good luck finding a Big Media story about Nesbitts liens.
If tax liens are such an indicator of character and trustworthiness, wouldnt it have more significance for the treasurer of a presidential campaign than for a man who just asked a question of the candidate? If the national media has such an interest in investigating a plumber who made a couple of national appearances, why wouldnt they have at least the same interest in the people running a major party presidential campaign? Of course not. The same people who instruct us that Barack Obamas 20-year membership in Jeremiah Wrights church while Wright called 9/11 chickens coming home to roost now interrogate Joe the Plumber on national TV about his brief flirtation with the Natural Law Party.
Because, you know, associations matter when choosing a plumber, but apparently not when choosing a President.

To bad the media does not go after Barack Hussein with the same vigor.
It’s a real bitch to be complaining inside a glass house when we conservatives are outside with all the big rocks ... and our aim is a helluva lot better.

I’ll bet Joe the Plumber can show his AMERICAN BIRTH CERTIFICATE....UNLIKE OBAMA who CAN’T!
Great information, but the contrast on the linked tax lien page is awful. They should really change that.
The next time Joe gets a microphone,
he needs to ask why the media knows more about him in 24 hours than it does about 0bama in 24 months.
Patterico does the work of the TBM:
LOL. A not-so-subtle personal slam to that worthless airhead, Brian Williams of NBC/MSNBC.
I saw another story on Drudge this morning that says he’s not a licensed plumber. I’ve worked in construction and engineering for over 40 years. If Joe works for a licensed plumber who stands behind his work, he’s not breaking any laws or local codes in the majority of jurisdiction across the country.
HOORAY Ed Morrissey!
So when they say Joe isn't really a plumber (no license) and owes back taxes shift the story back to taxes. "So Joe really isn't rich? Then according to Obama he'll need help, so whose wealth will Obama take to spread it to Joe? The guy who owns the 7-11 or maybe the guy who owns the pizza shop on the corner?"
...and point out that all he did to stir up such aggressive hatred was to ask a reporter an honest question about "The One".
Think long and hard about that one.
Yeah,
“why is it that I asked a simple question to your chosen candidate, and I get the full fury of the media unloaded on me? Is this how it will be if he is elected? Question anything about 0bama and you get your life destroyed? Seems we’ve seen something like this before.”
I’m not sure the what the price will be when it comes due for the malefesance of the msm but I’m certain it will be steep and permanent.
It’s actually a shot at the libmedia after it investigated Palin’s tanning bed. Big investigative journalism.
Who put together that blue and pink thing? Did anyone notice that bit about Shepard Smith on there?
To find out if someone has tax liens, somebody has to go to the courthouse and examine the records. So who is delving into Joe’s life? An Obama Campaign worker? Some weasel from a “progressive” organization, like MoveOn? Who is doing this, and are they suppressing free speech?
At the very least, it should include all conservatives' refusal to support their local Democrat house organs, -er newspapers. The Minneapolis Star Tribune, with its relentlessly liberal-supporting "coverage" and heavily oversampled polls, isn't going to get a dime of my subscription or ad money.
It's been hemorrhaging red ink for some time now. Let's see what it'll do when it's being purchased only by liberals.
