Obama's Betrayed Message
Townhal.com ^ | October 17, 2008 | charles Krauthammer

WASHINGTON -- Let me get this straight. A couple of agitated yahoos in a rally of thousands yell something offensive and incendiary, and John McCain and Sarah Palin are not just guilty by association -- with total strangers, mind you -- but worse: guilty according to The New York Times of "race-baiting and xenophobia."

But should you bring up Barack Obama's real associations -- 20 years with Jeremiah Wright, working on two foundations and distributing money with William Ayers, citing the raving Michael Pfleger as one who helps him keep his moral compass (Chicago Sun-Times, April 2004) and the long-standing relationship with the left-wing vote-fraud specialist ACORN -- you have crossed the line into illegitimate guilt by association. Moreover, it is tinged with racism.

The fact that, when John McCain actually heard one of those nasty things said about Obama, he incurred the boos of his own crowd by insisting that Obama is "a decent person that you do not have to be scared (of) as president" makes no difference. It surely did not stop John Lewis from comparing McCain to George Wallace.

Charles sounds like he usually did before this week after the debates. What gives?

Charles Krauthammer has MUCH to apologize for himself, after his dark comments with Kristol and Hume preceding the McCain-O-boy debate on Wednesday. I used to respect his opinion. Now I do NOT.

“I once believed him.”

Jerk. The real honor goes to the people who saw through Hitler from the beginning, not the drunken jerks who woke up in 1945 and wondered how something like this could have happened. If you are going to make your living by giving your opinion freely and often...at least have something credible to say.

Haven’t we had enough of people doing their therapy in public, Charles? It’s bad enough from Madonna but you try to pass as having reasonable intelligence.

How do we know it was a McCain supporter yelling at the rally? Do we really believe that Obama is above planting people who yell?

I recommend we have people go to Biden rallies and start yelling: Lurch, Failed Pilot, C**t, abort the pregnancy, etc. My bet says the MSM will claim plants!

Krauthammer sometimes appears schizophrenic about McCain, but there is none better in pointing out the blatant hypocrisy of the left, esp. those in the DBM.

He and Emmett Tyrell are tops at that.

Agree 100%. Reading the thread. I can't read this waffling, weak-spined, clown's articles anymore.

I am very surprised to read that Charles writes that he “once believed” what BO had to say about himself. I had no idea who this guy was until Oprah or around that point. Then I started paying attention and figured out real quick he was a dangerous phony. It didn't take me long to figure that out and it seems like Charles would have smelled the rat a mile away. BO revealed his nature to me by “writing” not one but two books tooting his own horn before he turned 45 and he had accomplished nothing! I could never get beyond this one incredibly egotistic exercise. It was clearly a calculated effort to fabricate himself and use the "books" to further his ambition. Hey Charlie, Don't trust men who have done nothing yet write two biography's about themselves before they are 45.
