ACORN Registers Mickey Mouse
St. Petersburg Times ^

Posted on 10/14/2008 4:03:12 AM PDT by DocT111

Mickey Mouse tried to register to vote in Florida this summer.

Orange County elections officials rejected his application, which was stamped with the logo of the nonprofit group ACORN.

Tow truck driver Newton Bell did register to vote in Orange County this summer. In the hands of ACORN, his paperwork went through without a hitch.

Two cases, two outcomes, each with a connection to ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

Nationwide, ACORN is a favorite GOP target for allegations of voter registration fraud this year.

That's not new. Similar complaints followed the 2004 elections. A criminal investigation in Florida found no evidence of fraud. ACORN even has a cameo role in the scandal over the 2006 firings of several U.S. attorneys by the Bush Justice Department.

Under attack again, ACORN leaders defend their work. Often, they say, things are as not simple as they're portrayed.

They might as well register Mickey Mouse. After all, they have Goofy as their candidate.

Every voter registration card that originated from ACORN should be thrown out. Some smart lawyer needs to file a federal suit and get these thrown out.

I thought this was a fake story until I heard Mickey sing his new theme:

I will vote
You should, too

Story from the St. Petersbug Times?

I wouldn’t be surprised if the reporter was out there helping ACORN sign up more voters!

Not only vote, but realize there will need to be a massive effort to prevent voter fraud from paying off for the ‘rats.

Mickey Mouse is black. This is a clear case of the Republicans trying to disenfranchise blacks. It's RACISM!!!

Did you notice the overall defensive tone of the article?

Its basic conclusion is yes, once in a while there’s a fake name or two (or several hundred), but they end up registering real people once in a while and do all these great things, so what’s the fuss?

this will be a picture rich joke environment for “florida governor new voter outreach”

We still need to tie ACORN to democrats, obama, a barney frank via the mortgage crash.

FYI
.
.
Disneyworld is its own seperate municipality in FL. As far as I know there are no residents and thus NO VOTERS in this municipality. Perhaps they need to check to see how many residents are listed as registered voters.

i watched hannity last saturday (a week ago) and his show on the economy did good job at tying them together. showed ACORN outside bank manager homes attempting to intimidate them. obama sued citi bank on behalf of ACORN also, to produce more sub prime loans. it needs to be shown more, like every day until the election! there is a youtube vid with members of the black caucus attacking the regulator on fannie and freddie. im sure if you looked in to their records, you would find ACORN everywhere. hannity only showed frank, reid, and a few others (white). showing black members apparently would be racist. crooks are crooks in my opinion. corruption has no color!

Court papers are public documents.

If a lawyer filed papers in court, then obama’s name should be on the courts records as lawyer.

If it was federal, the pacer system may not have the actual documents but it may have the counsel of record list.

for those in rio linda: pacer is the federal online court records which can be accessed via the internet.

The Friends just played the clip of Barry telling the ACORN group that they will shape his administration even before he is inaugurated. Bob Beckell starts out spinning away for ACORN how they are just the nicest folks who are just community organizers when Brian picks up his laptop and shows him this page on Drudge. The Repub pundit Andrea Tantaros says—nice spin, Bob—and proceeds to say that the acorn doesn’t fall far from Obama and Americans are now seeing how this scandal is connected to the housing crisis.

Sorry for the huge font, but you guys are all missing the point.

This is Obama taking a page out of the Palestinian terror handbook!

from the chicago sun-times

“obama represented Calivin roberson in a 1994 lawsuit against citibank, charging the bank systematically denied mtgs to african-american applicants and others from minority neighborhoods”

sun-times: http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/obama/700499,CST-NWS-Obama-law17.article#

i dont know much about this website, but its the quickest link to ACORN and the lawsuit. the article states:
“ACORN and Obama also go way back… ACORN was a recipient of grants from Chicago’s Woods Funds; Obama was a community organizer/trainer of ACORN staff; and his legal firm represented ACORN in lawsuits against banks, accused of redlining. Obama himself, in what constitutes his only personal trial attorney experience, represented Calvin Roberson in just such a lawsuit against CitiBank.”
