The Quiet Coup: Obama and the Disciplined Left

Cognizant of the backlash that has accompanied past left-wing power grabs, and the tendency of Americans to reject radicalism, the Left is attempting to slip Obama past the American people - a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The ever-quotable Michelle Obama, a woman whose pride in her country appeared with its embrace of her radical husband disappeared from the campaign trail months ago. So did Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jeremiah Wright, and other agitators from the civil rights industry. Quiet has been Kweisi Mfume, and restrained has been the NAACP. Gone too are the usual suspects from Hollywood: there have been no rantings from Barbara Streisand, no pronouncements from Rosie O’Donnell or Danny Glover. Absent has been Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins or Rob Reiner. Not a peep from Ben Affleck, Sean Penn, Janeane Garofalo, or Michael Moore. The anti-war Left is also in hiding. No demonstrations from Code Pink, or media stunts from Cindy Sheehan, and decided restraint from A.N.S.W.E.R. and other groups. MoveOn.org has been uncharacteristically quiet, and we’ve heard nary a mention of George Soros. Academia is also doing its part. William Ayers is conveniently on sabbatical, Ward Churchill has yet rear his head, and there’s been little opining by Noam Chomsky. Most helpful of all of course has been the mainstream media,

Right on the money! Let the idiots elect this guy if they can keep the idiots in the dark. Which isn’t hard to do, by the way.

"No matter where you look, or in what forum, ...the great mouthpieces of liberalism have silently left the stage and wait quietly in the tall grass as America heads to the polls."

This is chilling. If you think about it, there is an unbelievable silence out there from all those people we usually count on to make the liberals look like the nuts they are.

McCain’s campaign has sent an incoherent message about 0bama.
It has failed to define him.
What good is talking about William Ayers or ACORN if the campaign doesn’t use these associations to draw a conclusion about 0bama?

McCain needs to use not one, but rather the aggregate of 0bama’s influences in life to bring him into focus. Frank Marshall Davis, Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers, Saul Alinsky, ACORN, The Democratic Socialists of America, The New Party. What do they all have in common?

The answer: a dangerous, radical, far left ideology.

McCain must make this about ideology, and take 0bama’s associations as instructive. He should highlight that Saul Alinsky taught radicals to cut their hair, put on a suit, and take down the government from the inside, and 0bama was so versed in Alinsky’s tactics that he taught them to ACORN activists.

McCain’s ACORN ad reveals that 0bama taught for ACORN, but it never reveals the substance of what he taught.
The substance is what we need to understand 0bama. The substance is what makes it tangible.

McCain needs to call 0bama a wolf in sheep’s clothing. A clean-cut radical with very little papertrail infiltrating the system in order to destroy it.
Exposing 0bama’s radical agenda and properly identifying it as Socialism would be enough to ensure his defeat. It is what McCain must do.

One element in Obama’s apparent success in pulling the wool over voters eyes is missing from this article: a republican candidate unwilling to go as far as is necessary to bring Americans the truth.

They told the nuts to stay quiet until after the coup. It’s going to be scary times ahead...and for a lot longer than just 4 years, I’m afraid.

It is what McCain must do.

Don't hold your breath.

Just last week McCain was assuring us we need not fear a president Obama.

The Republican inability to communicate, not only lately, but for the last 7 1/2 years has been the greatest frustration to me. It's utterly dumbfounding.

The old party guys have almost succeeded in burying the GOP. I cannot WAIT for them to be gone.

I just hope there's a party left afterwards.

Also oddly silent have been "Hidin' Biden" and Obama's clandestine buddies at Hamas, who endorsed Obama in April, but have later found it politic to withhold radical support until after the election.

A related question for the historians and political experts.

Will there be a "power struggle" within the left following the election?

Yes, the full article mentions Hamas. They endorsed him, then quietly retreated, like everyone else. Obama’s campaign has been masterful at quieting his crazy supporters.

This is spot on. McCain has to define Obama by his associates by what they espouse. Ayers as a terrorist is not good enough. Ayers as a radical educator seeking to indoctrinate children for a revolution hits people between the eyes. Obama does make statements the belie his Marxist leanings (i.e. the plumber and spreading the wealth).

I’ve got my fingers crossed McCain brings out in the final debate the pro-growth, low-tax, pro-capitalist ideas and plans to give our economy a chance. But he most definitely has to frame Obama by these associates because there is NO WAY the media will do it. He must put the seeds of doubt about Obama in peoples minds.

Got to stay positive in the meanwhile.

The media isn't just derelict, its complicit. I wish McCain's team would clue in. As the article says: "Most helpful of all of course has been the mainstream media, which has abandoned all pretense of journalistic integrity and has covered Obama for nearly 20 months without asking any probing questions or investigating any disquieting connections, quietly burying anything negative and suppressing the most basic elements of intellectual curiosity - from missing birth certificates, to terrorist associations, to shady real estate deals, not even a single image of Obama smoking cigarettes. Anything and everything that could prove unpopular with the vast swath of America’s electorate has been left untouched or underreported."

This is not a difficult point to convey: that Obama is a radical leftist. Yet the population at large seem to be drugged or something. The lemming story comes to mind. Is there some kind of hypnotic thing going on? Is the water treated with dumb-down drugs? What’s the payoff for the MSM? Answers! We need answers!

Really, how long can they keep Jeremiah Wright from stepping up to the mike?

If there really is a Bimbo Eruption, can Michelle steel it out till her baby’s Daddy is safely ensconced in the Oval Office??

What if Bernadine Dorhn is indicted this week and starts singing like a canary to the Federal Prosecutor??

Ditto Tony Resko...is there a Fitz-mas in store for Republicans??

A hell of a lot can happen in three weeks...

Is the water treated with dumb-down drugs?

You people are grabbing at straws. We no longer live in the good old USA that the older generation fought and died for where work was rewarded, now laziness/lying is rewarded!

The Dems/moderates/"independents", do not care if Obombus was a convicted murder/child rapist. They will still vote for him because of the color of his skin. Thats all that matters to them.

Any other information is nothing but lies. They will not listen to any proof. He is the ONE, to save them and lead them to the land of free food stamps, gas stamps, housing stamps, doctor stamps, and any other welfare you can think of.

In what other country can you buy a house w/o money or even a job?
