The Pennsylvania Republican party is claiming that fraudulent voter registration efforts by ACORN are threatening the integrity of the coming election.
Saying ACORN has ties to Barack Obama, Pennsylvania GOP leaders are questioning the integrity of the election, citing ACORN’s voter registration activities.
But even if there are problems with ACORN, Rendell administration spokesman Chuck Ardo claims there’s a difference between fraudulent voter registration applications and bogus registrations:
“Those names are ferreted out, and those voters never actually make it to the polls."
But state GOP Chairman Robert Gleason says there are thousands of questionable applications and he believes some have gotten through:
“There are many people double- and triple-registered. That means they can vote three times."
In Philadelphia, deputy commissioner Fred Voigt confirms there have been problems with ACORN’s registration efforts, but also insists city officials have been able to weed out bad applications.
The group has been under scrutiny nationally for registration irregularities.
It’s about time the PA GOP grew a spine.

If we’re going to get heavy on the integrity of lack thereof issue - I would also weigh in on the condition of the media in this nation - they have thrown out truth and information instead choosing panic and lies as well as pushing their own agendas and candidates.
How do you think Fast Eddy won the past two terms? He sure didn’t count the ‘live’ votes....there were alot of ‘dead’ names there....
Ahh, but Fast Eddie is a Hillary Clinton man, which may bode ill for Obama next month.
1) ACORN and his involvement in possible fraud.
2) Involvement in the housing problem when he was a lawyer in Chicago.
3) The Kenna connection to Odinga his cousin and the emails that were sent expressing support and maybe more.
4) The trip to Iraq where Obama undermined Bush's power.
5) William Ayers
6) The sweetheart deal for his home from the felon Risco.
Any one of these if brought to light would be enough to stop Obama in his tracks.
Our big problem is Republicans have morals and convictions. If our candidate does not meet our standards like being on the wrong side of an issue, we don't vote for them.
The Democrats will vote for their candidate if they murder a someone on live TV.
It is hard to overcome this tendency.

No more voter registration drives for anyone . Flat out period. It’s over. If you want to vote, you must show up in your body, person, in-the flesh, with ID, Social Security Number and register. Only then can you register to vote. The only motor-to-the voter would be allowed for invalids and shut-ins. Everyone else-”show me the body” habeas corpus.
Or, give the country over to criminals, cheats and non-citizens.
The GOP should have started investigations of Acorn in 2004. At this late stage, nothing will come of it in time to affect the upcoming election.
Just whisper “racism” and pubbies scatter.
