Obama Admits Bumming Cigarettes on the Campaign Trail

Posted on 10/08/2008 7:58:42 AM PDT by mimi from mi

He's setting a wonderful example for the youth of America. I admit that I'm a smoker, but I'm not running for president.

"But I figure, seeing as I'm running for president, I need to cut myself a little slack," he said.

Since the liberals/radicals/anarchists are the anti-smoking zealots, how can they in good conscience support an admitted smoker????

People who proclaim they are quitting bum cigarettes constantly.

What they fail to say is that they have only quit paying for them themselves!

The witch hunt against smokers is bull pucky. But, since the witch hunt has been led by the sanctimonious left, let them come down on Obama for his evil tobacco habit or make smoking a social misdemeanor, instead of a felony.

Hey! Obama is just practicing what he’s going to do to America if he gets to office...take what someone ELSE has paid for out of their pockets to serve his own interests.

Since when does a liberal politician buy anything on his own? Still, could you imagine being the clerk who has to ask him for ID?

“He’s setting a wonderful example for the youth of America.”

Well, as long as those “youth” are 18 or older, then that’s their right: there are millions of dollars spent trying to fight smoking by those under 18 as well those over 18, so I think there is enough info out there as to why it’s generally not good to smoke. But it ain’t the end of the world if they do.

That reminds me, has anybody ever seen a picture of Obama smoking on the campaign trail? probably just an oversight by the media, but I wonder if that would be true if McCain or Governor Palin smoked.
