Over the last seven days FReepers have helped raise a good sum of money for the FReepathon. I know it is greatly appreciated, but
we still have quite a ways to go. I thought I might make it a little more interesting by launching a FReepathon Callenge. Like a lot of
you, I have already made a donation for this FReepathon, but I'm willing to up that donation in the interest of getting this FReepathon
over in the quickest amount of time.
At this time I would like to announce the DoughtyOne FReepathon Challenge.
There are two ways for you to join the FReepathon Challenge. You can read the rules and participate by making a donation at the level
of your choice, or you can join me to become a Charter Member of the FReepathon Challenge.
Here's how it works, If you would like to participate in the challenge, just decide whether you would like to donate at the $10, $25, $50,
or $100 dollar level. Once 100 FReepers have donated at that level, I will pay twice the amount each FReeper has paid in the highest
level that is reached. If 100 FReepers donate at the $10 level, I will donate $25. If 100 FReepers donate at the $25 dollar level, I'll donate
$50 dollars. If 100 FReepers donate at the $50 level, I will donate $100. If 100 Freepers donate at the $100 dollar level, I'll donate $200
dollars. Remember, I will only pay double the highest level that reaches the 100 FReeper participation level. And sorry, but I can only
pay twice the individual donated level, for the first 100 donations at that level.
If 100 FReepers pay at each level, $10, $25, $50, and $100, I will donate $200 dollars. If 100 FReepers donate at the $10 level and 100 at the
$100, dollar level, I'll still donate $200 dollars. If even ten FReepers pay out at a given level, I will match their single donation for the
highest category where ten have donated. If folks chip in they'll get me to donate between $10 and $200 dollars more. This is what I can
add to what I have already donated.
Now, if you would like to sign on to do a little more than just donate at these levels, you can contact me and ask that your name be added
to the list of Charter Members. I will post that list as more FReepers join the challenge, by asking to become a Charter Member of the
DoughtyOne FReepathon Challenge.
Charter Members will join me by pledging to pay out just like I will when the Challenge is over, up to $200. When the challenge is over,
I will formally announce the amount I will be paying under the terms of the challenge. Charter Members will match my donation.
If some of you wish to join at a higher level than I can pay out, let me know and I'll come up with platinum, gold, or silver level Charter
Member categories.
Hopefully, we'll get a number of FReepers to sign on to donate to the Challenge. On top of that, we'll hopefully get a number of FReepers
to sign on as Charter Members of the FReepathon Challenge.
I am going to set a time limit on this challenge. The challenge will end on October the 15th at 12:01am. That is roughly a week from now,
two weeks into the FReepathon.
FReepers, I hope you will join in and have some fun with this. Lets all chip in and bump up this FReepathon.
Please document the donations you make between 10/08/08 at 3:00am and 10/15/08 at 12:01am. Donations outside this time frame
will not qualify for this FReepathon Challenge. Please do not document those on this thread.

Long time monthly here. I really don’t watch most of the fund-raising threads, but this really caught my eye.
I know that you all mean well, and it’s important to donate to FR in order to keep it fully functioning. But, right now, money really needs to go “even more” to conservatives running for political offices at every level! Do we really seriously want a capitalistic U.S., or do we really seriously want a socialistic U.S.? This is what the ‘08 elections are really all about! Giving money to FR is also indirectly taking it away from conservative candidates fighting for the continued survival of a capitalistic U.S.! If there’s a leftist majority in the next Congress along with a President Obama, then both the Fairness Doctrine will eventually be fully implemented and illegal immigrants throughout the entire U.S. will also eventually be legally allowed to vote in all future U.S. elections! These two things will succeed in eventually killing off all of “U.S. conservatism” as well as succeed in turning the entire U.S. into a third world socialistic country forever! Good-bye to “everything conservative”, including, but not limited to, the end of FR! Conservatives can get angry at me and get upset at me all they want, but these things will still eventually happen throughout the U.S.

Not attacking....but we're all not on welfare here. The Lord believes if we only have a dollar to spare...we should give $2. FR is a very important tool...
1 - It gives Conservatives a place to come, share information and to help "spread the word"
2 - If you thought FR was not such an important tool in fighting liberalism, why are you a member?
3 - WHY are you a member?
4 - FR helps to keep Conservatism going. If you can't see that, you probably don't belong here.

When I decided to cut back on the forum until after the election, I was envisioning a lot of debate about voting for McCain or not. It hasn’t turned out that way, so I’ve been able to remain active. I’m not trying to sell anyone on anything and they’re not trying to sell me. We’ve made up our minds and that’s okay.
