Barack Obama Makes the Same 3 Foreign Policy Gaffes AGAIN ( 2nd debate)
Flopping Aces ^ | Oct 7, 2008 | Scott

Obama is STILL making the same 3 foreign policy gaffes (lies):

1) The US didn’t take its eye off the ball in Afghanistan and let UBL escape because Bush was preoccupied w Iraq. UBL escaped in Nov2001, Iraq buildup began 10 months later, and Iraq was invaded in 2003. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE GET OBAMA A CALENDER

2) The cost of the war in Iraq literally changes every week according to Obama. Tonight he claimed it was $700+bn. No. That’s the cost of the war on terror as a whole. Iraq (per the Congressional Research Service) cost $444.6bn as of July. For reference, the cost of all the Clinton Wars was about $450bn most of which was spent “containing” Saddam, and that “containment”….caused UBL to decide to start killing Americans; caused the war on terror

3) Obama promised to encourage democracy, reforms, peace, love, and happiness in Pakistan via foreign aid, but Biden said in the VP debate that the first thing they’d cut due to the financial crisis….is foreign aid.

He’s dumber than a box of rocks. I guess that’s why the Kollege Kiddies all love him.

the #1 problem was his response if Iran attacks Israel. That’s going to really hurt Obama

I think Obamanation lost it here too!

Obama Doctrine  vs. McCain Doctrine

To me, this was the big thing of the night. Obama was befuddled with his answer. He doesn't have a doctrine.

McCain Doctrine was clear --------Victory Doctrine.

Obama truly lost the debate right there. I couldn't believe that the FoxNewsChannel pundits did not pick up on it.

it does not matter what a liberal-socialist says

if his followers don’t notice or care.

If raising taxes and extending unemployment is what it is going to take to keep voter’s money safe, they would be willing to vote for the devil himself. Obama might not have good ideas on what to do about the crisis. But that isn’t the point. It comes down to who the voters believe. And the sad fact is John McCain, as a member of the party in power in the White House, has about as much credibility on the economy as my pet cat Snowball.

but Obama didn't offer even this much of a plan. Anyone who has cut over to Obama in the last few weeks because of his economic positions has got to be wondering why after tonight. McCain may not have won the debate, but Obama surely supressed his own vote tonight.

I know who he is, I missed what BO said about him. I just heard his name but I was in the other room so was wondering.
I will read the transcript.

He never offers much of a plan. He wants to spend $15 billion to free us from foreign oil in 10 years, never says what he is going to do with the money or how it will free us. I think most of his plans can not be told out loud, like this mandatory service crap. We need a commerical telling him to keep his hands off our kids!

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.

The other thing that I’d like to see more discussion about — Obama keeps saying we are spending x amount of dollars per month in Iraq, and then says Iraq has a surplus of something like 96 billion dollars.

Is Obama in fact trying to suggest that we make Iraq PAY to feed, and protect OUR SOLDIERS, and provide their equipment (arms and ammunition)? Because that is sure as heck what it sounds like!

Also, Obama pretends that the money we have spent in Iraq was a waste because if we hadn’t been spending that money somehow Wall Street wouldn’t have gone into a crisis? Who is he kidding, really? Did we take the money AWAY from these mortgage companies somehow and divert it to the military? I thought not... This guy is a colossal idiot.

He called Musharraf a DICTATOR and/or a TYRANT, IIRC. I’m going to go check the transcript right now as after the last debate I know I’m definitely capable of hearing things WRONG! LOL

Here is the dialogue from the transcript over on CNN [

“And the reason Pakistan — the popular opinion of America had diminished in Pakistan was because we were supporting a dictator, Musharraf, had given him $10 billion over seven years, and he had suspended civil liberties. We were not promoting democracy.”

As far as I know Musharaff in some cases was PREVENTING militant terrorists and THEOCRATIC TYRANTS from taking over the country and turning it into another Iran. As I recall Musharaff actually helped pass legislation that gave women MORE rights - particularly when it came to things like rape accusations... Again, I would have to re-educate myself because it’s been over a year since I looked into that particular point, but regardless, Obama is WRONG. The COST of NOT supporting Musharraf was losing Pakistan as even a “lukewarm” ally because Al Qaeda backed militants and terrorists were constantly trying to take over his country, and to let them have control of nuclear weapons is INSANITY!
