After the self-proclaimed geniuses in D.C. hauled us down the road to a 700+ billion bailout I’d rather go with someone who one of us. Those arrogant idiots in D.C. would resign in disgrace if they had a shred of honor.

As Buckley said...”“I’d rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard ...” and Congress is no better than the Harvard faculty.

Indeed! Why, everyone knows you have to be a super-Brainiac like Joe Biden to serve in government!

TIME had Janet Reno on their cover when she first arrived on the scene, and the caption was: JANET RENO--THE REAL DEAL.

No way they could do that in the middle of an election--time to spin for Ostalin.

The utter NERVE of one of The Little People the dems and Newsweek are always claiming to support actually trying to take the reigns of power from The Chosen Class!

"Do we want leaders who are everyday folks, or do we want leaders who understand everyday folks?"

And, Obama is supposed to "UNDERSTAND" everyday folks?

Where would he have learned this understanding," at the hands of Frank Marshall Davis? Bill Ayers? Rev. Jeremiah Wright?

And, they hint that her commonality is "elitist?"

The Law is a very simple profession IMO....the snobs should try to get a doctorate in a science or perhaps try to handle a vastly more difficult role such as full-time Governor/Mother. And imagine your average lawyer doing that while maintaining a strict code of honor and truthfulness.

the condescension fairly drips ... She's one of the Folks. Can't have that!

After all, it is the elites that lead this country. "The Folks" are just there to grab their ankles every time these "elites" screw things up.

The paternalists at Newsweak know what is best for us better than we, ourselves, know.

G-d help us if Obama is elected. It will be a terrible 4 years for our country ...and with a democrat House & Senate, I fear that our country will never recover.

The McCain campaign ought to be using this fact in campaign ads and in debates. List them all by name, and say all are lawyers. Do you want our country headed by a bunch of lawyers? Everyone hates lawyers in general. It would be a good line of attack. which would you prefer? A military man who served his country honorably and became a Congressman, and his running mate who was a small businesswoman, a mayor, and a Governor of a state. Or would you prefer a lawyer as President, with a lawyer wife, and a lawyer running mate? How many lawyers do you want running your country? And who will they be turning to for their Cabinet members and Department Heads? Would it not be more lawyers? And would they not be using the courts to disarm all opposition to their way of thinking? Come on, John McCain. State the obvious. Fight, for heaven sakes.

They had to use a picture that showed her teeth with something between them. She probably just did not get around to flossing after a quick bite. That is gross but they probably did this on purpose. Dang them!!!

Let me tell you what some democrats said about Elites. They asked me if I wanted my doctor to have attended an elite college? I said absolutely my doctor yes, but the Vice President does not need to attend an elite college if they understand what their job is. They said, but she only has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication that took her seven years to finish. I said, “Well to be President and Vice President you only have to be born here and be 35...etc. Plus I added, there is not a limit on how long you complete a Bachelor’s Degree. Sure, most people finish in four years, but some take longer to complete it.” Democrats are so ridiculous. I guess that shut them up...lol.

The leftists are a hoot.  They say they support women breaking through the glass ceiling.  And they really talk a good line... until some woman
breaks through with an ideology different than their own.  Then the fall back position is, "Keep them barefoot and pregnant", or "Keep them
home in the kitchen where they belong."

Governor Sarah Palin has achieved her position by incorporating down home values in her management style.  The results speak for
themselves.  Palin was a successful mayor.  She was a successful Governor.  Until she was named to be the vice-presidential nominee,
she had something like an 80% approval rating in her home state.

Now, she is deemed dangerous.  Why?  She has more executive experience than Obama.  She doesn't have connections to terrorists, that
go back decades.  She doesn't plan on sitting down with the leaders of terrorist states without precondiditons.  Why heck, she may
even push to keep the tax cuts from the first term of President Bush.  Obama would rescent them at the first chance.

I doubt very much that Palin's pastor screamed from the rostrum that the United States should be damned.  Perhaps that's the problem.

Palin is savy enough to know Israel is our friend.  She is savy enough to know that if it is attacked, she shouldn't urge it to use restraint.
At that she is a leg up on some of the other brain-trusts who have held the office.

I have expressed some concern for Palin being a heartbeat away from the precidency.  I have expressed that many more times than I have
heard anyone express that Obama has even less executive experience, and his heart would be beating from day one as the president.

Yes Palin is a populist.  Yes she is in tune with many in the American public.  And yes, the tragedy is, those she is in tune with still love
this nation and seek to improve it, not destroy it.  And to some people that is very dangerous.

That's why I won't be voting for one of them.

Well folks, we've been at this for five days now and we're up to 27% of our goal as of 1:01am on the sixth of October.  This shouldn't really take more than a week to
conclude.  It's the fourth quarter of 2008, and it's time to take care of our obligation to Jim and John, ourselves, and to our fellow forum participants.  If you've already
contributed, you may want to consider sharpening your pencil.  Lets not keep the FReepathon in limbo.  Lets wrap this up.  Thanks for your support.  Click the pencil.
