Just received an email from Schumer's committee that states the Dems are this close to achieving a filibuster proof Senate.Their polls have Dems leading in six races currently held by Reps. They are seeking cash to seal the deal and expect to do so. (Semi vanity)

May be time for the RNCC to divert some of that 66 million they took in in September to retaining the one trump card the GOP has left, the filibuster.

Yep, imagine if we have a President Obama, Democrat House, and Democrat Senate. If this trifecta happens, the only Republican leverage would be the filibuster in the Senate.

As important as the Presidential election is, we also should watch on election night to see how the Senate races are going. Even if McCain wins, big Democrat gains in the Senate could make it tough for him as president.
