WHEN WILL McCAIN TAKE A STAND LIKE GOV. PALIN HAS?
SELF; VANITY | 10/03/2008 | Thomas Sechrist

Posted on 10/03/2008 2:52:56 PM PDT by Tucker39

WHEN IS JOHN McCAIN ACTUALLY GOING TO JOIN BATTLE WITH HIS OPPONENTS IN THIS CAMPAIGN?

I have grown so discouraged with John McCain's inaction; his seeming lack of commitment; his refusal to take the fight to the enemy in this Presidential Campaign, that a few moments ago I submitted the comments below to his Official Campaign Website. For all I know they may be deleted and totally disregarded by the operatives at his end. But they relect my true feelings at this juncture.

The very day Sen. McCain picked Sarah Palin I mailed in a contribution. Now I wish I hadn't. And I feel sorry for Sarah, being fooled into a partnership with John McCain, who TALKED a good game the day he introduced her, and for a few days after; but since then has reverted to his pansy-assed sucking up to the Democrats, who would kill him in a moment, if they could.

Sarah sparkled like a diamond in her debate and fought like a MAN! Now when is John going to gut it up and ATTACK the lying bastards in the other party? Enough pantywaist hands-across-the-aisle wimping out! The Dems are eating John's lunch, and he gives NO indication that he even NOTICES it! Why did I WASTE my money on a non-starter?

Poor Sarah! A thoroughbred hitched to Beetlebomb! John! John! This is NOT a game of "Drop the Hankie!" This a battle for the future of The USA! Obama Is NOT an honorable man! He wants to honor his mentor, Saul Alinsky and bring Marxism to the White House! And he will achieve it if you continue your milquetoast pseudo-campaign!

You're the TOP of the ticket. And if you don't start showing some BALLS, you're going to LOSE! Has that possibility crossed your mind at all? You are LIVING UP TO every accusation of being a RINO that has ever been made of you.....in Spades!

How can you let your co-candidate go out and take a stand for RIGHT and Honor and Republican Principles, while you drivel and blab about insane crap like having Al Gore in your Cabinet?! Dear God! Why did I waste a cent of my money or a moment's trust and hope on YOU?! 80% of the people say they think man-made climate change is a huge crock, but that is nearly ALL you can talk about! Nobody believes that crap, John! Talking about it makes you look like such a doofus! And having your staff force Sarah to spew that global warming drivel, too! It's bad enough that YOU do it!

Why don't you talk about how you tried to introduce legislation to control Fanny and Freddie, but that the DEMS shot it down? And give dates and NAME NAMES! Why don't you NAME Barney and Chris and Maxine, et al? They've been NAMING YOUR NAME with great abandon and mendacity! Don't you even have the balls to stand up for YOURSELF?! You're no fighter! You're just one helluva big disappointment, because you're trying to MAKE NICE with corrupt, rotten, disloyal bastards who would just as soon run over you as look at you.

Drop the "my esteemed fellow-Senator" bullshit and point out the damnable LIES they are spewing about you and about Pres. Bush and about Republicans in general! I counted 16 huge whoppers from Biden Thursday night. Unless you find a pair of balls somewhere and TAKE THE BATTLE TO Biden and Obama, Barak Obama is going to be our next president! Is that what you WANT?

Poor Sarah! I think she made a BIIIIIG mistake!

He is running a Bob Dole campaign (and will get the same results)!

It is too bad that McCain is not calling Obama on what he is, his lies, his associations and his track record on everything ANTI-AMERICAN.

If McCain loses, it will be because he GAVE THE ELECTION to Obama. He has more than ten times enough “ammo” to sink Obama -— he just needs to use it NOW, NOW, NOW !!!!

My wife and I talk about this. I am beginning to think that McCain really does not want to win. Anybody with any smarts can see the problems ahead, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Venezuela, Hamas and the Middle East, Russia, economic cycle going down, mortgage mess, derivatives coming due, etc, etc, etc.

So I think he will continue to just plod along, much like Dole, and let ASSama have it.

I also think that Governor Palin will return to Alaska and continue to do her stuff there and we will not see her nationally again. She is a go-getter and she will relaize that she can still do much for her constituents without having to put up with the likes of Congress and the Dims and the lazy Repubs.

Who do you think put in the line in “air raiding villages and killing civilians”? Expect it to be a repeated quote by McCain.

I reject the defeatist notion that this is a Bob Dole campaign. Bob Dole would be down 20 points under these circumstances. Let McCain thrive. It’s clear he wasn’t fully prepared for the first debate because of his trip to Washington. He has two more shots that I suspect will be better.

McCain lost me with that vote. Not that he had me, I was holding my nose because of Sarah. All he had to do was just act like a conservative for a couple of months, but instead he reverted to type.

Everyone has to do what they think is right. I’m personally writing in Sarah’s name instead.

WHEN WILL McCAIN TAKE A STAND LIKE GOV. PALIN HAS?

As much as I respect McCain for his service, time in The Hanoi Hilton,
doing a top-flight job of running a Navy aviation squad less than
two years after he returned home...

...if I was making bumper stickers or slogan T-shirts for McCain,
I'd tell my supervisor that this is the slogan we need to use:

"When I vote 11-4-08,
I'm also casting my 11-6-12 vote.
For President Palin!!!"

You can’t offer a single plausible explanation for that assertion.

Two things:
ASSama is trying to win, even lying, cheating, doing anything legal and illegal to win. He is everywhere, saying anything, doing anything. He is motivated and actively working to win.
In contrast this whole tread is about McCain and his efforts in the campaign. The contrast is too dramatic.

You may be right. I was disgusted waiting for McCain to fight like a man, and then he unloaded on 0bama to great effect just before the conventions. He may be doing the same thing now.

He may also have wanted to wait until the bailout was signed before stirring the hornets' nest.

The media won’t tell the truth, they won’t even hint at anything bad about Zero.
It is beyond belief why the media are in the tank for this person. Lord help us.

Obama’s peaking too early. Look for McCain to get very aggressive when it counts most.

I listened a bit to Rush today. When he was asked this question he said he had heard a rumor that McCain, and through him his campaign, believes that elections are really decided in the last 72 hours of the campaign. If that is true then I am very wrong and you are very right.

But I still wonder why McCain's actions are so damnably tepid. He could save the 18" guns for later but in the meantime his base is getting frustrated and demoralized (hence this type of thread) because he is not even using the 50 calibers, just the paintball guns. I fear undecideds are making up their minds and will quit paying attention to what is happening. There is also the early voting. Every vote McCain loses in this early stuff, and it is all across the country, is a vote which cannot be recovered. That is bad.

I do hope I am wrong, mainly because I hate to lose Palin in the process.

RE: “Look for McCain to get very aggressive in the coming days. If I’m wrong I’ll eat crow”

I’ll join you in eating that crow.

We have a whole month left before the election, and two debates. I fully expect to see McCain unleashed, big time, after the last debate on October 15. For now I think the campaign team is being a little careful knowing McCain and Obama will face off two more times.

Let Obama flit around the country meantime with his fluffy hope/change messages. Those have already gotten old. The more he blathers on, the easier it will be to hang him on his words.

I think we should be patient; calm down and hang in there a bit longer before imploding.

Somehow he would look more heroic today fighting the democrats than he was being a prisoner of the Viet Cong in the 60’s. The question is: does McPain want to occupy the White House or will he make a path to it for 0bama?

I believe McCain used Palin. We all gathered behind him when he placed her on the ticket. We had hope for our party and America. But then, when the media and liberals went for her throat, he stood there and watched. He did not defend her or attack the attackers. Thou I applaud his past, he is an American hero,as of today, making choices to appease the democrats, is not bravery, it is being a political coward.
