He said he would involve former Vice President Al Gore in efforts to address the issue. "I would tap him, I would tap people who have been involved in these issues for many years." McCain noted that he disagreed with the Nobel Peace Prize winner about nuclear energy but added, "I have great respect for Al Gore."

I think McCain has a lot more important things to do than to waste peoples’ time with drivel about his ‘great’ ‘respect’ for a discredited climate change moron like gore.

Perdogg, I understand where you are coming from. You may have heard things that lead you to believe this, and only time will tell. That’s okay.

I still reflect back when McCain was chumming it up with Soros and authoring global warming based legislation with Lieberman three times. One of those times included carbon taxes on fuels.

My perception is that John will come back to haunt you. Look, if you are proven to be right, you and I are both going to be happy.

Take care.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Thursday listed investor Warren Buffett and former eBay chief Meg Whitman as potential Treasury secretaries in his administration but declined to say if he would consider asking current Secretary Henry Paulson to stay.

(snip)

Asked if he would be a visible presence in international talks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and replace the Kyoto Protocol, McCain, who has clashed with fellow Republicans over climate change, said he would do "whatever is necessary to try to move forward." He said he would involve former Vice President Al Gore in efforts to address the issue. "I would tap him, I would tap people who have been involved in these issues for many years." McCain noted that he disagreed with the Nobel Peace Prize winner about nuclear energy but added, "I have great respect for Al Gore."

EGAD!

Third way on steroids!

Both

Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) (L) and Joe Lieberman (2nd,L) (I-CT) talk with former Senators Alan Simpson (R) and John Danforth (2nd R) before the vice presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri October 2, 2008. (Jim Young/Reuters)

He is trying to lose. That is all I can figure out.

Or, as Rush Limbaugh said on today's show: "I don't think John McCain is in the tank for Obama, but I'd be hard pressed to prove it."

Another Rushism from today's show: "If McCain wins the election, we won't have to worry about the Democrats in the House and the Senate anymore. They'll be in the cabinet."

If it was not for the presence of Sarah Palin on the ticket, I would probably vote for Bob Barr the LP candidate.

That is how I felt in the 2000 election. A little deja vu.
