If Morris says McCain is losing, we should be very happy!

“HOW can McCain let the ACORN issue just slide away?

He stuck to his guns on the immigration issue, too, no matter how it upset conservatives.

I agree with Morris 100%.

McCain is doing everything wrong.
He needs to take a free market stance on the economy and set himself apart from Bush and 0bama, for the taxpayers, against government expansion.

That is his only chance to win.
He should recognize the fact now that he has already lost.
He’s a dead man walking.
There is no ‘safe path’ for him.
And he has nothing to lose by showing some guts.

He needs to call out the Democrats who have been in Fannie and Freddie’s back pockets by name. He needs to drop the ‘earmark’ nonsense and go after the real corruption in Washington, the wholesale looting of the national treasury.

McCain is running a different kind of campaign dontcha know. He isnt going to go after anyone. He never has, he never will. IF he wins it will be because no one listened to the alphabet media, internet, and talk radio. It is the cell phone movement (are they being polled at all?)

Well, McCain just wants to be bipartisan. He thinks that Pelosi is being mistreated, and he wants to be bipartisan and do everything he can to help her.

Yessssssss. The only thing I had been really worried about was that Morris had been predicting McCain’s victory.

They need to attack, relentlessly. Obama and the Democrats are a target rich environment, but right now McCain and his campaign are not taking advantage of it. Schmidt and McCain need to go nuclear, and soon.

As of now, the whole bail out fiasco cuts against us and McCain. I’ve been holding back looking for the magic shoe to drop and reading postings and threads in which so many FReepers are opining that events are going our way. Things have been going against badly us since last Friday, at least. Thank God at least the markets rallied today.

I saw the same interview and am about as angry and frustrated with McCain as I can be. I see the hands of Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman in this meltdown. His refusal to back the Republicans in the house and, by extension, the vast majority of American voters is the biggest mistake in the history of Presidential elections.

What I can't understand, however, is why Obama is getting the boost in the polls when he is even more culpable than McCain in all this??

Sad to say it but its true. Its like McCain does not want to win all of a sudden and all the wind is gone out of his sails. There should be ads running everyywhere showing how ACORN continbuted to the Wall Street Crisis and showing how Obama is involved in ACORN.. Whats the deal? Did McCain get scared all of a sudden? If he does not get back in the game its over and this country is lost forever.

I don't disagree with the toe sucker on this one. McCain's position on the bailout is incomprehensible. It only makes sense if you're fixated on "bipartisanship" above all else.

Morris' take was that McCain should embrace the ideas of the Republicans who voted against the bill, and draw a clear distinction between his position and Obama's.

If Palin has to go forth in the debate and try to explain McCain's position on this bill, she's going to get slaughtered. It's time for McCain to start doing some of that OODA voodoo that he was so masterful with after the convention.

I agree.

McCain should come out against a government bailout.

I like Gingrich’s plan for a workout instead.

GINGRICH: “I think, first of all, they should replace the current snapshot to market with a rolling three-year average.

I think, second, they should change the current loan reserve pattern so it’s not pro-cyclical.

I think, third, they should zero capital gains.

I think, fourth, they need to adopt an energy plan to keep about $500 billion a year here at home instead of going overseas.

But on a practical level, if they need to open up a window to loan money to treasury plus 2 percent, and people want to come in and borrow the money and the responsibility (ph) of a workout not a bailout, and those people want to work their way out over the next three to five years. I’m comfortable saying this is a liquidity crisis; let’s meet it; let’s loan the money. But let’s make sure they are responsible for their bad debt, and they’re going to work their way out.

This idea that we’re going to buy the paper and some bureaucrat in Washington is going to be responsible for $700 billion in bad paper, I think, is socialism at its worst. I can’t imagine why this administration is doing it. I think it is profoundly wrong, and I hope it is defeated if it comes to the floor in this form.”

And finally, raise the limit on FDIC insurance on savings.

I thought Morris thought the campaign suspension was a good thing and that he was going to win the campaign with it? That guy, like most TV pontificators, talks out of both sides of his arse.

Another negative VANITY?

How about I post 50 positive vanities today?

Why don’t we all start posting 2 sentence vanities of good news?

Who needs the MSM when Freepers post negative vanities that would make them SCREAM if they came from the MSM?

Morris is usually wrong. He’s an opportunist, and he doesn’t care what he says as long as it will please whoever he’s nosing up to at the moment.

But in this case, he’s right. McCain is miserably screwing this up.

Thanks to McCain’s bipartisan priorities, we can all look forward to our kids learning to sing like this to the future “Dear Leader”:

US of North Korea, thanks to McCain when Obama wins.
